More reaped free devices

Post by Eanna »

Hi folks,

Tonight I've found this page, lots of old devices, appears that the download links that are hosted on the hosting site (exquisa.de) are still active and available.
http://www.exquisa.de/Rabarber/SEITEN/N ... _devic.htm

(EDIT March 2016: This link is gone - site is now at http://www.exquisa2.de/Rabarber/SEITEN/ ... _devic.htm).

There are no less than 17 pages of devices here; each page accessible by the drop-down at the top of the page.

Specifically, the first few pages ('seite'), the devices hosted on:
- pulsardevices.de
- planetz2.de
seem to be dead... web.archive.org doesn't appear to have file content for these old sites either...

My lord the world was a gaudy tasteless place back in the early noughties! Some harsh looking gui's back then! :-)

I've reaped the available files across the 17 pages, trimmed out the ones labelled 'demo', zipped them, and put them up on my dropbox here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/q9en6c6xv4pu8 ... isa.de.zip

I've not categorised nor tested any of them - so use at your own risk.
At least with the web pages above, you will be able to find the brief description, and a picture of the gui...
No doubt at least most of these come from a time with the old Preset system etc.

Here's a full list. Every file is a .zip, unless otherwise indicated...

No doubt, there'll be crossover here between what Mr. Arkadin has listed on pages 1 and 2, and all of guppy's large and most extensive classified and non-classified devices on page 4 (archive files still available), here:
http://forums.planetz.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=30623
And what shayart has posted here:

And what Mr. Arkadin collected from the old youngmusic.at site, here:

And again, Mr. Arkadin's free Wavelength stuff, here:

If I am breaking any rules or any developer agreements, please let me know, and I will remove those offending items from this list, and from the zip.

Since deviceplug-ins.com is gone for a while, wonder if we could get his freebies (at least) collected together?
Here's the last good snapshot from webarchive - it won't have pulled the zips tho...

Thanks, Eanna

From the Board Index at the top, scroll down to the bottom, and select Devices under the Files section.
http://forums.planetz.com/viewforum.php?f=16

That lists every device file uploaded to the forum.

It's amazing that after all of these years I still find a few I never saw before.
So out of the last two dumps I found 5 good missions specific devices.

Thanks guys

What I really miss with new developers that the old SDK seemed to incorporate more often was the ability to collapse the Live Bar so only screensets show, then call up as many combinations of devices, or solo them for viewing, which also keeps the Host on the screen with Scopes devices always on top.
Early Firsts' MIDI Activity device is recallable and was made in 1999.....!!
I am hoping the DNA guys will get around to this as their devices have nice big GUIs.

It's just nice to keep the host, where most of the work is, always viewable, with Scope Devices summoned when needed.

Thanks Again Eanna.

i don't know if it has to be set on the modules, it is likely a function of the old scope software, or if you can make me an example i can understand better, but using the standard view mode in scope 5.1 settings should already work like this.

I will post something tomorrow as my rig is locked up at the gig.
I use Scope differently than most guys, but maybe my use might benefit others.
The Live Bar is the action for me though when performing.
Since Scope is just 100% stable for 10 years now, it't the host and VSTi's I need showing all the time.
I only make adjustments to BX Digitals' Mono maker when I perform, which btw isn't recallable via screensets, hence it sits at the top of my live bar for easy access where I can click on the miniature picture of it.

ok got it, it is an option to be enabled when exporting the devices from the sdk, it can usually be enabled on protected devices too.
I too use screensets 8)

I love screensets.
I also love devices as small as possible in the Project Window, but have a nice large GUI when opened up.
BX Digital, DNA Comp/EQ are usually the only 2 I need to edit live.
Sounds odd but I swear my Cabinets sound different on every gig.
Some stages are wooden, no need for Plate-X there, then heavily carpeted Rooms
seem to require a different focus on the low end, hence the Mono Maker.
So I make presets for each room like I had 20 years ago on a hardware Yamaha Digital EQ, and the DMP-7 motorized fader mixer.
Everytime I played I thought I would store a preset for that room, and it never works.

Didn't work with hardware, and doesn't work with software. But the hardware didn't have the fast access to parameters that Scope does. So I guess things are better... :-?
