Here is a free synth for the scope community.

It is based on a different type of synthesis than usual. most similar to "phase distortion" but different from that as well.
best thing to do is try it :)
you can get a lot of lively sounds which are different from subtractive synths.

Presets have been uploaded separately, they will be updated as more are created.
Currently there are 28 presets by planet z members who helped test this.
and 29 by me.

please do not try and assign MIDI controllers to LEDs unless you like error messages.

Thanks to the people who made presets, beta tested, and shroomz who made the graphics

oh yeah..heres the paypal donate thingy :D http://www.chillproductions.com/defex/p ... aypal.html

April 26 2009. re-uploaded minor fix to support automated program changes
(you have to give the banks and presets numbers for them to work.)

Nice sounds from this synth. But I have one problem I can't figure out...it doesn't seem to respond to MIDI Program Change or Bank Change messages. I know to number both the Program list and the Banks, and I have no trouble with this on the standard Scope synths, although I have seen it on some 3rd party synths.

So am I doing something wrong, or does it not respond to MIDI Program Change messages at all?

Also, a minor point, but I found it confusing...is the only way to change the MIDI channel and the polyphony via the Live Bar? I could find no place on the surface of the synth to do this.

This synth looks and sounds totally professional, so I would expect to pay something for it if I ended up using it in a piece. What kind of donation do you consider fair?

very nice,

I have only had a short while to play on this this afternoon but I am very impressed, I can't wait to get my teeth into it, the overmod has great potential for new dirty sounds. I made a couple of very analogue sounding basses fat and squelchy just the way I like them.

Great work on the synth and the gui is fantastic but it took me a while to find the preset pad, just dyslexic old me again  .

Fantastic synth, I really like all of the "rough edges" that this beast can produce. There is a lot options to tweak so i bet we haven't heard the best out of this baby yet. Many thanks for sharing. Great to see a fellow Canuck here too. Not too many people in my circle are in to creamware. Neutron, you've left your mark. - Scotty

Well it seemed a bit redundant having the midi channel and polyphony in 2 places so it only on the live bar. few other synths are like this as well.
as for what is fair, that is totally up to you. and technically it is not "for paradox" but to help with future development. that is because SDK users are not allowed to sell devices.
(which i hope soniccore will change)

Thanks for your reply. I've answered by PM.

I hope SC changes their non commercialization policy for SDK4 developers too. It seems everyone would benefit if devices were at least allowed to be released as shareware.
