the aux osc does pass through the filter when its audible, but not when its used as a modulator.

Had a quick go with paradox today, Nice how you can run 4 of these with a total of 7 Voices and still have power left for an effect or two on a 9 DSP system.

Everything paradox+1 SpaceF SynthFX.

Hi there. I made a few presets for Paradox (7 of them, to be more exact). Not sure if you'll find them useful, but in case you do, you can just add them to the first release. It's not an easy beast to tame, but I tried to make it sound as musical as I could :) Some are intended for monophonic use, while others only work properly in poly (3-4 voice minimum). And feel free to tweak!

I'm having some fun using this and Shroomz Spinner DE filter. Sometimes, Paradox's output is a little bass heavy, so a HP filter may do wonders for the sound (would be a nice addition to the synth's architecture). I could also use a little help in decoding what the "mx" parameters do and also the ø in the filter section.

I hope you like these, and thanks to Neutron and Shroomz for giving us another great synth.

Cheerz,

The MX buttons will modulate the modulation amount by the "mod-x" knob and modulators

so say you had LFO1 modulating a filter, and mod x was assigned to EG 3 then the modulation of the filter would only happen when the EG3 was open and the mod-x knob was turned up.

the ø simply puts the 2 filters out of phase with each other. when the filters are overlapping, the bp acts as a notch.

its a cheap way to get even more variety from 2 filters.

all recorded in 1 go.

Yup! Glad to know they're useful!

I've been making some more, now that I know what all the knobs are for. I'll send them to you as soon as I have a decent set.

There's one thing that I noticed - when you leave the mouse over a knob, or when you move it, there's no pop-up with the actual value. This would be good to have, when you want to make changes but then bring the values back to the original position. Is this possible to implement?

Tau i am afraid i cant do that, i guess you wanted it mostly for the overtone frequency.
since it is not really a frequency but an offset, scope wont play nice with that.

This synth is more of a "play by ear" than precise number tweaker like FM.
i have a temp preset bank i use to store interim settings when im working on something, and if i screw it up i just go back, or compare different ones.

Paradox will be released on THURSDAY so if you have any presets please PM them to me by Thursday morning.

the only changes from the last beta(03) are cosmetic. so all your presets will work.
