5544S LP24db Resonant Modular Filter

Post by hifiboom »

Hi everybody,

here is my small XMAS present for the community, a modular filter for a different kind of sound with modular patches...

generally more open sound than cw modular filters and a different sound than the flexor stuff.
polyphony is limited to 9 voices.

the resonance modulation (m3) input is missing as the graphical layout was done for another module... so the knob is without any value but it doesn`t hurt.
and I won`t find the time to fix this now...

hope you enjoy it.

I`ll soon add this to my homepage under the free stuff device section...
maybe I`ll add a special modular area also for future stuff.

best regards,
Boris

I shall post on this baby tomorrow, as my box is roaring again.

Why is the poliphony limited to 9 notes: single DSP optimization ?

hurolura, exactly... there are time critical recursive tasks running at audio_rate in the algorithm. so it has to be sample exact and limited to one dsp.

else the filter would sounds like crap.

Tried this on my Monosynth patch. Just big FAT leads, nothing great. But the ramp dividers and signal generators w/ this filter are starint to sound rather huge.

Any super band pass filters in the future?

CS80 had an awesome sounding BP, it was it's strength IMO.

Happy New Year HiFiBoom.

sure, I will work on other filters too. One cannot have enough different flavours when it comes to filters....
And especially for modular I think new filters can give many new possibilities...

Happy new year back to you! :)

Here's another Dog that hunts.

It actually works really well w/ recorded content. I use it to add realism in my rotary cabinets low baffle emulation, and as a lo-fi wash of my Melotron libraries. It adds such separation in my mixes.

Where's there a link to the ARP Filter located?

I would like to see that one, must have been out of town back in the pre-iPhone days.

BTW, I got rid of that worthless peice of shit and got a Motorola Q, then dumped that peice of shit for a good free LG350. Internet on the road is for laptops. These phones hav e a long way to go. Plus the keys are so small, I mis- typed everything. They were good for pics of babes, etc., and concert crowds, etc. But dropout rates were reminiscient of the late '80's cell phones w/ those clunky boxes !!

How does one say " Peice Of Shit " in German?

Espanol is paroso de merda.

Hi Hifi

Any news about your great new modules ?

Any chance for resonance mod input ? (my idea is use your filter module for my Neural Net patch but not implement res mod input )

Thanks info

Kamil
