Cyprox new versions

Post by djmicron »

Hello,
this is the single strip version of the Cyprox cc converter.
I have worked on the circuit to make it simpler as possible and to prevent bugs.

The min/max range control has been optimized and i have added the learn capability to select the range straight from your hardware controller.

The way cyprox process midi control numbers is different from the typical scope devices, so forgot about right click assignment of midi cc and forgot about saving midi controller list from the preset list, because all you need to do is to enter or learn the cc numbers and you are done and of course it's enough to save the simple preset list to recall all parameters of cyprox.

The surface has been redesigned by Mehdi Touzani from Spacef .

I'm working on the documentation, but it's very simple to understand how to use it.

All my next devices will be available from devz.org web site.

A short explanation of the cyprox controls:

input ch: select the midi input channel to be recognized

input cc: select the input cc number to be recognized
the learn button can be used to automatically recognize the incoming cc from your hardware controller
another use of the learn button is to have the option to process every incoming cc when the button is switched on.

Out ch: the output midi channel

Out cc: the control change to be sent to the cyprox midi out (values from 0 to 255 possible)

on button: to disable the cyprox cc engine

min and max range: you are free to enter a value between 0 and 127 to obtain the action range of your choice.

range learn: if enabled you will be allowed to enter the range from your hardware controller.
this button can be used as a range bypass when it's switched on.

Invert: to invert the direction of the cc (min will become max and max will become min)

origin: to send the original cc message to the midi output of the cyprox (not processed, so no min-max range or invert available to the original cc message)

Thank You

Micron

Multiple drawbar action on B2003 w/ single controller CC.

Excellent also for controlling multiple parameters on SB404 w/ single controller also.

Any news on your site?

Thanks Sal

Hi djmicron!

When I try to load your device, I get this error message:

"Can't find DSP file MIDI X-in Switch 02 - Please check installation."

Do I have to rename your dsp-file or is it another one?

There's also a thread in the ProblemSolving-Section by synthetic:

http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22136

Any hints?
Cheers,
Jan

hello,
it should work by copying the file cyproxlb.dsp inside your dsp folder, but it's the same as renaming it to MIDI X-in Switch 02.
I think it's possible that you have more than one scope installation and you have placed the dsp file inside the wrong dsp folder.
Anyway, let me know if it works.
Thank You

Hmm... No, I only have one installation on one HD...
But two HDs :D

But it is the same problem on both systems.
Really strange...

Do you have this "MIDI X-in Switch 02" in your DSP-folder?

Cheers and thanks for the help!!!

hello,
it's a dsp module used by the cyprox single strip, but it's not normal that it does not work by copying the file cyproxlb.dsp inside your scope/app/dsp folder, because it's the same dsp file and scope software should recognize what is inside of it.
I have attached the original dsp file with unchanged name, so copy it inside your scope/app/dsp folder and i hope it will work.
I have tested the cyprox single strip on several scope installations from 3.1 to 4.5 on win xp os without problems related to cyproxlb.dsp, so i'm curious about your scope configuration.

Cheers

Are you still developping similar tools ?

I would love a fade out/fade in toggle button. So:
- you set the Outgoing CC
- you set the Toggle CC

When you Toggle the button, it fades the Outgoing CC to ZERO,
but leaves the "original" midi cc value in tact.

Then when I toggle again, it will output (or fade!) too the
current position of the incomming midi CC, or the last received
position.

So if you toggle, the device fades out the CC to 0, and from then
on filters all midi. Then when you toggle again it fades the CC to
the current position you set on your remote controller or in your
sequencer or ......

So I toggle something OFF. Put my knobs in position. Toggle it ON,
and the assigned knobs in scope fade to the position I put the knob in.

I totally want this for my cards so I wont be depending on external
tools to give me this functionality.

I like it, FrancisH! Add linear/log curve selection to the fades, perhaps? :)
