Proud recipient of BlackBox #3 here, and it's a beautiful toybox indeed, thanks Mehdi

Much delving to be done - but so far, my trombone & euphonium are married to Echo 34

Wonder if i'm the only one with spacef sound on this continent ?

Lovely job, Mr Touzani.

That is one of the special things about payed 3rd party CWA stuff. If you are a gear fettishist, you will often get something which, though not one-off-a-kind, is still pretty rare adn unique.

the forums are online. it is a bit empty for the moment, but it is made for user questions.
I am still struggling for the user area... it might take longer than I thought. (first dls will be octapitch and LBH, because there are a few features that should be added such as tempo bypass and a few other things to make them better to use).
See you then.
Regards
Mehdi

ps : the forum interface is multilanguage, and pm works fine now (for those who remember the old spacef forums... now it is much better)

Hi Mehdi,

I'm on the fence about your OSC and Filters..
Could you possibly add some sort of description for each of your oscillators and filters that describes what they are/do and what makes them special or unique. They have interesting names, but that doesn't tell us much..

Thanks.

yes, descriptions will follow shortly  .

latest addition : user area - Meta LBH update

Highlights :
- Now includes sub-presets for AHD, Wavesamples and MicroTones (Fine Tune).
- MicroTones opens a window with cents values, which can be useful with scales. The microtones are saveable independantly from the chords and can be recalled at will (like a sub group of the chord preset list).
- The AHD preset list allows to play with varous note length, without going through editing again.
- The wavesample preset list allows to save the combination of wavesample oscillators.

Other Update :
- Ulli was stored in presets : now corrected
- Tempo divider fader was not stored in presets, now corrected.
- Now has a tempo bypass button.

Hi there,
just to inform you that there is more info and an update of the free delay.

Please check the user area pages or forums.

Do not miss the R7 sounds, Synthetic DX or the LBH for example.
more and better on the New mp3 of the new presets or sound added to the mp3 pages.
no samples, no pitch shifters unless clearly indicated. R7 sound = micro 8 and basic filters or included osc&filters only.

Check out the user area forumfor info

Download a Demo and download the Presets and try it out. demoed osc and filter are simple but good.
more demos, presets etc in the future. stay tuned for updates on spacef.com

For descriptions etc, please be patient wait a little and relay on the current mp3s or presets for the moment (during one or two weeks).

In general it can be said that highlights is not only on the oscillators and filters : with low polyphony (16,32 and more voice layers with a poly of 1 is doable), the presets, the synthetic dx , and side features such as preset exchange with the lbh etc (really fuinny tools, more powerful than it seems) plus the advantages of the user area.
Synthetic DX is directly capable of the sound you hear in the mp3 above "R7 sounds" (see mp3 page for more), this with no additional oscillator. Nothing is just a repack of any filter or atom found in the DP SDK. Sometimes slightly modified, but modified anyway (when it requires so or if it needs to to make something different : this is not double with JBowen RD pack (for ex), but are more transformed filters. Even the multifilter is modified and sound different than the atom itself. The filters are made of various atoms with musical interaction according to controls and incoming modulation or signal. (the Spectral is pytagorean triplets but is the only mathmatical based filter).
Same on the oscillators. Even the microscope is not the same as the miniscope (basded on it, but modified). So is the the Raw Pulse, which is a uknow 007 (the uknow-osc but rebuild like on the Uknow 007 Synth and modified in the sound, or some parameters are madulable, like the Start Phase of each osc of the RawPulse) with modulated pulse width. Not very advanced but gives you an idea of other modulated oscillatrs (nor nly the phase mod category, but also the sin FM, the meta oscillators, harps and racks).
On the filter side, it is simple, filter always act as lowpasses, bandpasses, highpass, formant, eqs, with a high degree of difference between filters due to different settings, different combinations of filters. the names are not just poetic. Side Band 1 is based on 2 filters side by side, haze is a blurred filter working great with medium frequuency, Ice is a cold lowpass, liquid makes sound pure as liquid, and even the multifilter is special.
All filter are lowpasses, bandpasses and formant filters. a few like aerial also include Eqs. Mega Eq is a fast modulated EQ which wrks great in the comb sat location and used with HP/BP and LP filter Type III, you get sound close to Virus C synth easily with agressive and more dynamic trebles (with the right settings).
All in all, it is one setup, all doable with 1 synth, it is unique, not made before, better quality than many native or dsp stuff, available now, with a high degree of preset interaction. no need to wait. It is true that it is a bit complicated like that, not much presets to test, but the sdx1(big synth) is for people who are used to work presets. It is very complicated to make a demo for everything and to explain would deserve a book for telling all that you can do, how to use, not to speak of things I have never thought myself (it is open). it will be made little by little.
If you are in hurry and hesitate, please ask in the forums, may be other people will be willing to inform you. There are a few opinions and reviews in this thread already.
stay tuned !
thanks for your patience.

Update of all chord oscillators and 2 new are added, for a new total of 11 chord oscillators.

The new osc are the Micro8k PWM and the Uknow8K oscillators, all compatible with the chord preset list.

All chord oscillators now include a fine tune table, ie numerical pads and seperate preset list allowing you to save temperaments and unison templates.

Read the full story here (partial copy of user area pages)

Available now in the user area with install info etc... 5,5 MB zip file to download (details, install info etc = in the user area here : http://www.spacef.com/USERGATE.htm

- ALL CHORDS UPDATE : I have removed the Fine Tune preset list because it wasn't functioning correctly. this development is postponed. The Fine Tune window is stimml accessible.
