Reading around, this seems to be a common newbie problem, so i was wondering if anybody had an idea? the midi signal is being received in cubase sx and the volume indicator is also lighting according to the volume it is being set at, but no sound. If anybody is able to mail me any old simple project files, please do : davesgordon@optushome.com.au. thanks a lot. And is version 3 software worth buying? or is it basicallyt the same?

To use SX, make sure one ea. ASIO Dest and Source are loaded in the project. Then set Cubase to use ASIO:
SX ->Devices ->Device Setup ->VST Multi-track or something ->ASIO Scope drivers.

I hope this will get you started.

version 3 is totaly worth buying. It has a bunch of new features, more stable drivers. And particularly the Live bar, which facilite greatly the work with other software, like sequencers.

It's not only an update, but it's, imho, a complete new software. So many thing have improved.

I also think that all who own sfp3.1c will agree with me.

thanks. all the ASIO is set up. I am wondering if i have to set the Luna as main audio device in XP? can i set the Luna as an output device in cubase, but keep my sb audigy as my main audio device? i have a feeling the vsti is working, i just cant hear it :smile:

cool. thanks for that. i think i will save some dosh and get them. i was basing the purchase on looks (;) ) but am sure they have many technical benefits.

i have also refined my problem done to some weird output problem. everything seems set, but still no sound. the metronome can be seen ticking on the volume bar as well so it is just the whole sound output in sx. ideas?

i was also going to add that when i route it to an alternate sound card i can hear sound (loud, crackly distorted sound), but sound nonetheless. I have Sennheiser HD 25's plugged into the analog output and was wondering if that might be the problem? would i have to boost the signal through an amp to hear anything?

You don't need an extra amp, my phones are directly on Luna2496 box. It's not very loud, but it's good enough for me.
