<a name="planetz-file"></a><a href="http://www.planetz.com/Pulsar/files/pro ... .pro"><img src="/forums/images/file_icon.gif" border="0" alt=" File"> File</a><BR> <a name="planetz-tag"></a>Related To: olophonic effect<BR> _____________________________________<BR><BR> This project it was develope to olographic theory its related to the ambience of early reflections that are delayed comparable to direct signals.
Theese delayed signal consent us to localize the sound position.
In normal stereo listen every ear get the "right" signal from the respective channel's loudspeaker and from the other channel's loudspeaker, but the second come delayed for the major distance and with altered spectrum cause from the passagge around the head that have an different frequency related absorbsion coefficient. This "acoustic crosstalk" cause an effect like the early reflection and it's added too, so you have an confused listen that can't understand th right spacial's informations.
This project take the right channel and insert to the left channel delayed, filtered and phase inverted:
1) delayed of 100 microsececonds to emulated the distance of our ears
2) filtered to emulate the spectrum's absorbsion of our heads
3) phase inverted to loud the out of phase signal (stereo signal)
Also the left channel it's effected like the right channel!!
The direct's signal are filtered too for increase the vertical image projection.
This project it an experiment and sure it's no perfect, so i'll glad to received comments and experiment too.
P.S. i had grooped the channels to easy try the difference with olophonic effect and simple .

P.P.S. you need the "millidelay" to work, you can find it on the devices section of pulsar page posted 1999-05-30 by anonymous

Sorry for my bad english

cheers
