I need to use all 16 channels of the adats so that i can monitor/mix them on my spirit desk. The spirit 328 has a mix route out set to spdif output. I want Pulsar to see this spdif output (my mixdown using th espirit desks EQ's etc) and record it into cubase whilst its playing back the trach 16 adat channels.

You mention setting up a scope item for an asio device (I take it its an spdif source or destination) how do i set it up so that my final mix out of my desk is able to be recorded in cubase on a stereo track ?

Check my attachment. Do I have to use whats called asio 2 devices? I am totally confused.

You might want to post in the Problem section of the forum linking to here to get more responses.

First off, yes use the ASIO2 Dest-64 and ASIO2-32 Source 64 modules. The way you have it now you should be able to record on track 9 in Cubase, personally i always use track 1. You don't actually need the ADAT Source unless you're going to individually track into Cubase.

There wouldn't be much point in using the Spirit 328 digital with it's 16 built-in Adat I/O's unless you wanted to separately track your external hardware into your DAW. You could mix down on the 328 in various ways, but it's best to keep them separate if you can. The other thing you could do with the project above is add an STM mixer with your 16 adat ins going to the first 16 channels of it & direct outs from those mixer channels going to your ASIO destinations, which will give you even more flexibilty in many ways.
