In the dynamic mixer in figure 1, the external effect is inserted on channel 1. For the I/O I used ASIO channels 5&6(or 3LR ASIO source & dest as SFP refers to them as). Make sure the mixer is connected to the outs of you CW card.
In figure 2 you wiil see that ASIO 3L&R have been removed as an option from the Source & Dest devices.(cause they're being used)
In figure 3, I inserted the Tape delay on Aux 1. I changed the inputs & outputs to ASIO 5&6. If everything is setup correctly, you should hear the groovy Tape delay on the Lightwave.
Using SFP FX as inserts in Logic:
In figure 4, I placed the ES P synth in Audioinst 1 channel. The figure shows the insert pull-down menu where you'll find the I/O plugin.
Figure 5 shows the I/O plugin window. I set the ASIO I/Os to 5&6(or 3L&R source & dest in SFP).
Figure 6 shows the masterverb connected to ASIO 3L&R source & dest. I have the outputs connected to my Z-link dest which is what my monitors are connected to. Instead of that, you connect ASIO source 1L&R to the out of your CW card. Once that is done you should hear the masterverb on the ES P.
There are a few dozen other ways to do this but this should give you an idea of the power & flexibilty of the SFP/Logic combo. In the Zip file I have included 2 LSO files & 2 PRO files that have everything set up & ready to go aside from the out to your monitors. You will need Logic Platinum & the Lightwave SFP synth

I don't think Sonar has such a feature. I have to use a dedicated track that, unfortunately, mutes and solos.
