First of all thanks to everyone who has tried to help so far. Many of you by now must be thinking what a complete idiot I must be. So just in case I am giving that impression can I at least say that I am a reasonably good musician but I have to admit I know bugger all about studio wiring. When I first got Pulsar and created my projects, someone else actually did it for me but now they are not around to help.
Anyway to the problem. Bassdude, just in case you are reading this, I did what you suggested and it works. I get my signal from the vectron going into Logic. But any other synths or my anolog out (for guitar) that I add to the mixer don't go into Logic though a signal is going into my STM 2448 mixer. So why is it that The first 2 channels work and not anything else that follows/that I connect. Sorry but to me it just isn't logical. I really can't understand why.
I also don't understand why I need to disable stereo? When I do, I only get one channel (either left or right) going into Logic. Ok, I realise that I can make the track in Logic mono, but I want to record in stereo, not mono. I realise I am getting mono because my ASIO Dest is fed by the DL outs of the mixer and not the DR outs ( but here I am following your advice Bassdude just in case you are reading this). And just in case GaryB you are reading this what do you mean by I have created an ASIO loop? See below for a screenshot.

In essence what I am asking is:

a)Why is it that the first two inputs of the STM 2448 mixer send a signal to the Logic mixers and the rest don't?
b)Why are you suggesting that I record in mono and not stereo?

Please again refer to my project using the Big Mixer from Pulsar 2. This works for me and I achieve what I want to. But for the life of me I can't seem to do something similar in STM 2448.

My apologies if you are sick of reading about my hassles and my inability to figure it out for my self, but as I said I am an idiot when it comes to this stuff. Coul d someone guide me by the hand here and explain step by step exactly how I should connect it all up, or provide a sample screenshot or mail me a project. Please!!!! Pretty please with sugar on top!!!!

Thanks.

Hello again. I'm still having the same problems too! I think the only solution for us is new computers(or MB & CPU). The VIA boards, Pulsar, & Logic are a nasty combo(from what I've read). You can get a mother board with a decent processor for around $150. That is what I'll do once I get a job(I've been a full time student the last two years)!

PS I can actually pull off audio recording some times but it takes forever with the PCI overflow error every few minutes. But hey, what can you do?

hi, you can make two connections from Vectron
1-to mixer, as you have
2-direct to ASIO dest (eg 2L & R)
now you can rec into Cubase at IN2 L/R

Then con another synth to ASIO 3 L&R and Analog source to ASIO 4 L&R
