The cheepest way to get motorized faders these days is probably buying one of those old Yamaha Promix 01 digital mixers found on ebay for as little as 300$. These mixers are far from useless - and can turn into a nice controller for your Pulsar or DAW with 19 motorized faders. So here I have added to this forum my version of Promix 01 as a MIDI controller for Cubase SX or Nuendo - mainly for those using Pulsar in XTC mode.
The XML file for the cubase Generic Remote and a Word document with description of the setup can be downloaded from here.

What this controller setup let's you do is:

Volume, pan and send 1,2 & 3 for channels 1-16 and 17-32

Rec enable for all channels and monitor on/off for all channels

Solo for all channels (this is easy to change to mute if preferred)

Master gain

Selection between fader groups 1-16 or 17-32

Hope some of you will have use for this - I'm really liking it

P.s. to set it up in Cubase go to Devices - Device setup - Generic remote (add it if it is not in the list already) from the generic remote panel select import and browse to the Promix01.XML file.

Have fun
