some sdk5 questions, help appreciated

Post by faxinadu » Mon Sep 16, 2013 4:11 pm

hello,

got some assorted n00b sdk questions, if anyone can clarify some things would be of great help.

- what exactly is the function of the "surfaceinterlace" module? i understand the usage and more or less where to place it, but can someone define it for me?

- i saw in one of the documents that the GO window should have two facets, but i am only getting one, the go list itself. wondering where are parameters of go objects stored and how to access them?

- dynvoiceofparent goes in the uppermost layers of the module, just there?

- i was trying to use the stock multi lfo set on saw with full gain and of course no fades as a ramp generator, but for some reason it "lingers" on the first value before proceeding to the next, so for example i have it set to modulate an 8 input switch and i get 1---2-3-4-5-6-7-8 in terms of timing. why is this happening?

- when i load the "defaultpanel" it will only resize up to a certain size, is there a way to resize it beyond it? and is this one panel layout to start out with and costumize always or are there options i am missing?

thanks

Hi,

i. surfaceinterface.
Most of the time is used for panel editing and preset editing, ie. shortcut for the mouse right click.
If you see all devices have a surfaceinterface connected to a "panel".

ii. "attributes" on graphical objects panel.

iii. dynvoiceofparent// Anywhere.

iv. the saw wave of the multilfo is curved. For sequencing you have to use the triangle lfo and make a tri->saw shaper. Or the fm oscillator and make it produce a saw...

v. Perhaps start with one of the "basic-> empty synth" etc...
