I think you drop the VAL values from the pad list of the control elements into the parameter list by drag&drop....

there shouldn`t be any crashes....

well, the last 2 evenings I found the time to walk (almost) through your tutorial, shayne. big thanks for that. I found some things I consider minor glitches, but I found ways to solve that :)
I will restart that creation soon and take some screenshots where they might be helpful.
I might address some questions to you via pm, if you're ok with that.

Re: SDK Information on Forum - collecting together for a doc

Post by winger »

I just got the sdk and am trying to learn it. I got a hold of Shaynes "first time use" doc and it is very useful, thanks Shayne.

The thread talked about other information people were gathering. Is that available some where? Is there other info beyond the 4.0 dsk docs that people have made available? ( I did find Wolfs tips and tricks).

Thanks,
Mark

Update - 21 pages so far :)
Sections will need categorising
eg. Preset Lists
Graphics
etc. etc.

About 15% through the data here

I'm surprised how much info there is - once the raw draft has been done it will need proof reading and annotations. I am also collecting any files that have been done to illustrate points etc.

I've been bogged down with other work.....yes I'll get it done at some time.....I am interested in the new SDK though.......
I'm not sure if the document will be much use though....hopefully I'll get some help from the other gurus but I don't think it will be out for a few months :(....it will be very long though  (137 pages already with Shayne's and Wolf's stuff)

This is teriffic news and perhaps it will be the best manual for any Creamware/Scope release by far.
Good luck with the remainder, if you need an sdk/dp newbie to do any proof reading, then don't hesitate.

Thinking of the new sdk, although there will inevitably be some changes and updates I'd be surprised if many of the modules/components and construction techniques weren't the same or at least familiar. After all nearly all of the the old devices still work.

This will be a most worthy documentation

I have no time at the moment......it will get done at some time....it's only information that anyone can get hold of (no secrets !), but I have spent considerable time collecting it so far...then it needs sorting out! It WILL come eventually! :)
