all files are on dropbox account now

so the akai format and the ctrlr exe and dll panels are available

if you have a mac you can still use the bpanel file but will need to download the latest au mac installer

but it does mean if you have a scope pc pci or xite but use a mac as your daw you can control them via the vsti ctrlr versions be it pc .dll or au

also if more of the synths were made into modular versions like the minimax and pro12 then you can use the abs14 modules and control the modular parts via 14bit cc which would give them smoother control

which means john bowen prophet plus modular version could be controlled via 14bitcc

here is the exe crtlr panels

and the vst dll and bpanel files to run in vsti mode

to run in exe you just double click and you can control the abs14 bc modular module

if you want to run in a vsti

then you load the ctrlr32.dll file or 64 if using 64 bit

and then open panel choose the bpanel file
Thanks for taking the time to do these. I'm still having the same problem as before when I tried loading the panel into the Ctrlr VST wrapper unfortunately. I'm not getting any MIDI output from the panel. I tested in AbLive and SX3 on the other machine. Cubase isn't even letting me load the panel. The options are blanked out in the wrapper. Probably user error, but I'd appreciate if anyone else could let us know if they manage to get them working correctly.

here is a video showing that the panel outputs midi data and what midi device it uses

also when you start it if you pull down the corner then you can load a panel

i will let atom know as it must be a bug

once you have the panel loaded

you need to go to the midi settings and set them up as its not using the exe settings

Thanks for the video jhulk. I've just tested it in the VSTHost software you were using and can confirm that the Ctrlr MIDI monitor does show MIDI output to the selected MIDI out port. I've checked again and still having the same problems in Cubase and AbLive.

I'd imagine the real benefit of having the VST plugin version would be full control automation within all popular DAWs as opposed to what we have with the VSTHost example. As far as I can see this doesn't really offer any more than the standalone exe Ctrlr panel since it's communicating directly via the MIDI Out instead of the host.

Ideally, I'd want a solution for this which requires as little configuration as possible. It's a shame Ctrlr doesn't do a straight export of your panel as a VST dll. Maybe a Synthedit / SM / Flowstone plugin could be a better option. I'll look into this further when I have time.

Thanks again for your help with this. Please let me know if you make any further progress.

ok try this we have not added the flags for input from host and output from host

i checked the lua and went through each item i think if you dont have these flagged then any host program wont be able to use them

im remaking the bpanels in the latest nightly version 1457

and have the latest vsti .dll file will upload in a moment can you try them as im on my laptop and i am not near my scope or daw systems to test

simon can you try these 2 new bpanels in a daw as i enabled midi from host

thanks jammie

forgot to add the link if any one else can try these bpanels in the ctrlr vsti32.dll or ctrlr vsti 64.dll

in any daw to see if the host daw can talk and input and output midi data

would help greatly in debugging for me and sharc

as im not on my daw system to test

thanks

Donation made. Simon, have a few pints, please!

There are so many damn useful things packaged up here, and the CLM has changed my life. Even if you don't use modular now, get on board!

No it's not essential, but the directory structure has changed since the previous version.

Existing BC Modular users can remove the previous install before installing the new version or as an alternative I've added a second download link which only contains the new and updated content for v0.975b

Just a quick note to highlight the fact that we intend for the DAW side of ScopeSync (at least) to be Open Source (GPL). We have already published the Max For Live/Java version included with 0.975b on github: http://bcmodular.github.io/scopesync/

We're going to be releasing the first VST version (equivalent to ScopeSync16) to the BC Modular beta testing group shortly and hope we'll be able to include one or more VST versions in the next BC Modular release package. Feel free to get in touch with sharc or me if you want to get involved in any way.

Apologies for the longer than usual break in development since BC Modular v0.98b.

The next update (v0.99b) is coming along nicely, but I still need to finish off a number of modules before it'll be ready. When it's finally released at some time around Q3-Q4 I hope you'll agree it's been worth the wait
