BlackBox II (repack 3 for users)

Post by spacef »

Hi all,
The shop is re-opened for a few days but only BlackBox II is available (until monday 4)
There are only 3 or 4 licenses available before being out of stock and before the possible definitive closing of the shop (due to a possible new job that is late to be confirmed, and which will not allow to keep the shop open).
http://www.spacef-devices.com/userarea/ ... 4&Itemid=3
Please note that big synths like Biosc or DXD may be compatible only with scope pci. ask xite users for confirmation as i don't have xite to test and no x64 sdk anyways.
effects should be fine but no guarantee of any kind for xite-1 / D
see you
Mehdi

PS: all devices which are available on SC shop are still available from them directly (and latest version/addons etc downloadable from the user area, this doesn't change a bit).
User area will not close soon.

not being able to sale doesn't mean not being able to support or willing to finish a few stuff (the amount of stuff i have unfinsihed is just huge).
But it can't be done right now because i'm all x64 now and don't intend to go back at any price.
For selling, yes, that might be history... for the hobby of making devs and adding them to the existing packs, well, it doesn't depends on me.
I/you shouldn't expect anything anytime soon though, because i really need to concentrate on real life stuff seriously now and for a while !

The sentence on your webshop

" All ongoing developments are put on hold due to the unavailabilty of any x64 SDK tools and Xite, which makes it impossible to provide real spport for the latest plateforms. "

sounds funny when the SDK 5.1 is announced.

Maybe the SDK price offer for an Xite-1D could be in your target range ?

Anyway, all the best, ...
... and thanks for selling me the 15 DSP board for which I got SDK 4.0 !!! :)

Well, wish you all the luck, and I hope you continue to develop for Scope, if it suits you, as your devices have made so much for me, fo sure, and also for the platform IMO

Plus I want to give the heads up to fellow Zs who may not have it yet, the BlackboxII is the most amazing collection of modules and devices you can find for Scope. Standalone synths, modules for you own patches, FX including some great sounding delays... Go and get it before it ends, you don't know what you're missing here.

It's working here on my XITE-1 (SCP 5.0)

Best wishes, Mehdi!

"developments put on hold ... the SDK 5.1 is announced."

yes it is only "announced" ;-) (is it available?).
There might be a couple of modules for Modular Mixer though and the long awaited correction for LBH-X, in August most probably (it is done but haven't had a chance to test yet), but the rest will have to wait... for me i don't see any xite purchase possible before last quarter 2011 soonest.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, it is nice to know people still use BB2 ;-)

Hopefully you'll get your xite soon, and can't resist developing some new awesome tools :)

I love your (modular) mixers, FAT inserts, and BBII modules. I use them everyday.

It would be great to see further development for your awesome devices for xite, but for now good luck with the new job and thanks again for all the great devices and everlasting support!!

Sorry for the late reply to this thread Mehdi, but just a quick message to wish you all the best with you new venture. Also have fun, and keep saving for the Xite-1 too :)

Bye for now

Not yet ... :D

By the way, maybe a "small" Xite-1D would be enough for a (re)-start.

Hi HUROLURA,

I appreciate your insistance in wishing to see me back right away, now that the new SDK is available.

But, as said in previous posts, or on my facebook page, I also need to concentrate on other things, seriously and for a while.

I will change the text in my shop to reflect this and make things clearer for everyone (but even for this, I didn't find the time to edit the text on the shop).

I am not worried that, if I jump on the train later, S|C would still be willing to make me benefit of the special offer like everyone else.
We talked about that at Musikmess a few years ago when xite was still under development. They were already willing to make this offer to all "historical" developpers.
I even have a couple of add-ons for Modular Mixer, that I didn't have the time to test, and I am talking about a couple of hours, or less....

Posting here was not to show any anger or anything toward SC and I remind you that the SDK was not available when I first posted this.
It was only to give the opportunity to latecomers to get the devices they wanted before it was too late.

All I ask you is to be patient and enjoy your Xite, your SDK and making music and sounds, while your friend SpaceF-Devices is building other things in other areas, which is exciting too.
I am not very far anyways, and still available to all SpaceF users for all their questions and support and the rest.
Don't be sad or worried ! I am sure that , with the new SDK, devices will soon be blooming again like in the old days ;-)

All the best !
See you soon !

Mehdi

Shame, good luck with what you do.

What i don't get is this though, why could you not let sonic core sell all the other plugs that you have done if they already sell some of them?

Had my eye on the black box collection and a couple of other things and wanted to get it at somepoint (can't afford it now though, and yes i know the shop is shut now)

:)
