Post by sharc »

I'm pleased to announce my latest project - LOOP.

It's a 16-Track MIDI sequencer with the following features:

- 32 Patterns per track.
- Note On/Off with velocity
- Control Change Messages
- Pitch Bend (14-bit resolution)
- Aftertouch (MONO & POLY)
- Program Change Messages
- MIDI Channel selectable per track
- Variable Swing Control
- Presets for Pattern, Track & Global Settings
- Fully MIDI controllable.

If anyone would like to try it out, an early beta version (4-Track) is available for download in the devices section here.

Looks nice :)

From the GUI I assume it's a step sequencer? Or does it record incoming MIDI in real time?

sharc,

Cool, look forward to trying this.

Regarding other features, would it even be possible to record incoming midi data in a similar device? If so, are you planning something like that?

Could it, gulp, have an editor of some sort?

I know this has been tossed around the Z for a long time and the general consensus was 'no', but with XITE maybe the overhead is finally available?

I vaguely remember someone committing to the attempt, perhaps this is the first fruits...many thanks either way!

Cheers,
Cory

To answer your questions ....1) Possibly, 2) Not at the moment, 3) Probably, 4) I'll let you know if/when I get an XITE :)

Hey Stardust :)

There's a chance, but possibly not in this device as it could involve making some compromises.

A song mode of some sort is also an addition I've been giving some consideration.
