Great find! Here's the actual text:

Creamware - PULSAR 3.0 ANNOUNCED!!!
Date: 2001-09-03

Pulsar II v3 - New Software Release for the DSP Powered Virtual Studio

Version 3.0 of CreamWare's popular Pulsar DSP Music Production System is
scheduled for release in mid-September, 2001. The new software boasts over
one hundred improvements, from slight enhancements to completely new
integral parts of the system.

Highlights of the new Pulsar II v3 include:
- New DSP effects, including the sophisticated MasterVerb reverb.
- Additional synthesizers based on Virtual Analog and Vector synthesis.
- The STS-2000P Sample Player (64 stereo voices, compatible with all
major libraries).
- Hundreds of new instrument and effects presets.
- Numerous user interface enhancements to make Pulsar even more
intuitive and easy to work with.
- Switchable screen sets, keyboard shortcuts.
- 64-channel ASIO driver, AC3 digital output via S/PDIF.
- Optional XTC mode, allowing the user to use the Pulsar instruments and
effects like VST Instruments and VST plug-ins, directly from within a
VST-compatible host application (Windows OS only).

New Pulsar II customers also receive the ProPack, which includes the
following:
- A professional 24/48-channel mixing console adapted from the mixer
previously available only in the high-end SCOPE /SP system.
- An additional effects suite containing a new Vocoder, De-esser, Stereo
Expander, Pattern Delay, Syncable Filter, Overdrive with tube
characteristic, syncable filter and much more.
- Lightwave, a new Wavetable synthesizer with flexible filter
configurations and manifold modulation features.
- The highly acclaimed STS-3000 DSP Sampler.
- The Modular Synthesizer V2 with over 140 modules and 80 pre-patched
synthesizers.

Although the Pulsar software has changed, the hardware is the same. The
Pulsar II PCI card hosts six 32-bit SHARC DSPs, from 20 to 28 channels of
audio I/O (in various combinations of analog, S/PDIF, AES/EBU, ADAT and
Z-Link, depending on which of the four currently available options the
customer selects) and an extensive set of ultra-low-latency audio drivers
to communicate with all major audio programs for Windows or MacOS.

Existing Pulsar users can choose between two v3 update options: Standard or
Pro. The standard update is free of charge, as usual. The Pro Update, which
contains the ProPack, is available for US$139 (149 Euro). Both updates can
be obtained at the CreamWare website, or from official CreamWare dealers
worldwide.

Pulsar II v3 has a proposed retail price of US $1,444.

And I should have held ou on buying the STS3000 a few weeks ago....

Ah well, let's just hope the individual component cost isn't too much different.

Yeah, that pro pack is not cool.

I already have the Mod2 and the STS3000, I want the mixer and new effect.

The MIXER!!! Wasn't it the first reason to upgrade the Pulsar soft to V3?

Now, let's see if it will really go out 'mid-september' !!!

But some will be happy with the standard pack. This STS2000 still won't be able to MAKE new programs as I understand, but still alot better than the sample player...

i was also already claiming about the 'pro-pack' at the cw forum
i already own the mod2, i don´t need a device like the sts3000, and i don´t need another synthesizer (though lightwave might be cool), so it would be great, if they´d separate the devices. at least devide the 'pro-pack' into 'pro-pack 1' (containing the mixer and the fx, i´d guess far most of us just want these ones) and 'pro-pack 2' (containing the instruments mod2, sts and lightwave), maybe both priced 99€.
i´d buy the first one instantly.

have fun, at all it´s great that there is an 'announcement' at all! and we have (after may, june, ...) a new date to hope for
