Test Drive for ALL Scope Devices possible now ! ! !

Post by Ralf »

Dear Customers,

now it is possible to generate temporary keys for nearly all devices.
So you will become able to test the devices in which you are interested.

If you want to get a demo-key, please proceed as follows :

-Download the desired device from our server:

ftp://sonic-core.net/software/3rd_Party/
or
ftp://sonic-core.net/software/SCOPE_Family/nokeys_OXE/

Installation of Zip-files:

After you unpacked the Zip-file, please copy

*.dev to C:\Scope\Devices\Plug-Ins
*.dsp to C:\Scope\APP\DSP
*.sys to C:\Scope\APP\Sys
*.pre to C:\Scope\Presets
*.DLL to C:\Program Files\Your Sequencer\VSTplugins\XTC

Installation of OXE-files:

- close your Scope software
- copy the relevant OXE-file to Scope\APP\OXE
- Start the Scope software and the device will be installed

The following instructions are valid for both forms of installation:

If you load the device for the first time, by loading it from the Plugin menue into the routing window, a registration-dialogue-box appears whitch contains a requeststring.

Please use the copy to clipboard button to copy the requeststring into the clipboard of your system.

Now create an email, paste the requeststring into it ( STRG + V ) and send it to my adress: RB@Soniccore.de

I will provide you with a timelimited demokey. Fill in this key into the line “Activation Key” of the registration-dialogue-box. After the entry you should restart the Scope software.

Have fun while testing.
Ralf Bach / Sonic Core

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

ftp://sonic-core.net/software/3rd_Party/
oder
ftp://sonic-core.net/software/SCOPE_Family/nokeys_OXE/

Installation von Zip-Files:

Nach dem entpacken des Zip-Files kopieren Sie

*.dev nach C:\Scope\Devices\Plug-Ins
*.dsp nach C:\Scope\APP\DSP
*.sys nach C:\Scope\APP\Sys
*.pre nach C:\Scope\Presets
*.DLL nach C:\Programme\Your Sequencer\VSTplugins\XTC

Mithilfe des Copy to Clipboard Buttons kopieren Sie diesen Request-String in

an meine Adresse : RB@Soniccore.de

Registrations-Dialog-Box eingeben ( Zeile Activation Key ).

hi ralf,

how long will the time limit be? will the devices cease to work after a given date or usage time? and is it be possible to apply for a second trial period in case the timeframe is too short?
nice improvement, btw. I hope to see that feature on the new MyPage, should it ever return...

Hi kylie,

>>> how long will the time limit be?
We will see, but long enough to get a realistic view

>>>will the devices cease to work after a given date or usage time?
yes, after the given usage time

>>>and is it be possible to apply for a second trial
no

all the best

Does this include third party devices available from the Sonic-Core shop too?

as far as I understand this, yes. he even pointed to the 3rd party folder on their ftp, so as long as they sell it in their shop and generate regular keys for it, they should be able to issue temp keys as well.
there are other developers having their own "protection" scheme, but usually they offer demos, too.

So cool :D

I wonder if he'll have the time to generate all my key requests

I find it always reassuring to demo

send them off in one go, so it's a one time task for him. and be sure to watch the transfer strings, since the copy and paste mechanism doesn't always work as expected... ;)

I got myself a clipboard manager for that purpose. never had trouble again...
the issue is that that content seems to be written to the buffer only if it was empty. pressing the copy button does not overwrite the existing content if you do another request.
manually emptying the clipboard via clipbrd.exe does the trick, but...
well, that's at least my observation.

It appears to be the Arpeg02. At least that's what I found in the /Devices root-folder after downloading the oxe-file.
It's excellent that demo-codes are back. 8)
