Greetings Planet Z

I will be soon releasing a sampled acoustic drumkit. It will be a free gift for all pulsar users here. Just need to know if there is enough interest, and if someone could be able to host it?
The final size of drumkit will be something between 200-300MB. It will come with program and preset files for STS-3000 sampler.
Drumkit will be suitable for rock, triphop, jazz etc.. sounds are very natural, I wont be polishing them too much (of course, natural doesn't mean 'crap').

Some list of mics used:

Kick: Shure SM52 (inside), Röde NTK (outside). 2 slightly different kicks, normal and extra deep
Snare: Shure SM56 Beta (top and bottom). 2 different snares, unfortunately both metal snares
Overs: 2x Röde NT-2
Room: 2x Shure SM81
Tom1: Röde NTK
Tom2: Röde NTK
Tom3: Röde NTK
Tom4: Röde NTK
Hihat: Röde NTK (close mic)
Crash1: Röde NTK (close mic)
Crash2: Röde NTK (close mic)
Ride: Röde NTK (close mic)

Recorder: Mackie SDR24/96 (24-channel 24-bit Harddisk recorder)

- Every drum contains 8-10 velocity layers.
- Every drum sound is a stereo file, mixed with close mic, overs and room mics.

It has been/will be a huge effort to do this, but I needed more real and natural drum sounds. Will take 1-2 weeks to finish if everything goes well.

Any takers?

Hi all

Thanks for your replies. It seems my project would be welcome here . Also I'm glad to read here are several persons willing to host it. I will be soon mailing personally to you about the hosting.
I'm going to post here some mp3 demos when I have more progress.
Stay tuned

Great initiative, Stige!

I´ll arm my trusty CD Xtract software and stand ready to rip it all into Halion program files

Many thanks!

Ok, I've got a little demo:

http://www.sunpoint.net/~simulacrum/SMKitDemo1.mp3
This is a direct output from STS-3000. There is no any extra processing

Must have some pause now, I'm almost deaf
