[SOLVED] Inverted L/R > R/L from Wave Source audio signal

Post by CreamWare4Ever »

Hello,

I have an odd problem.

When listening to audio through the Wave Source, like YouTube and Media Player, the left and right side plays inverted.

The output from a DAW(s) is OK. Very strange.

I've noticed this in Windows 7 and Windows 10.

I'm using the Scope Luna card with 3 DPS.

Any idea?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Cheers.

Explain 'inverted'. Channels swapped? Out of phase?

The left channel sound on the right side, and vice versa.

Let's see an image of your cable routing in the project.

Scope & Win: 64bit or 32bit?

I know it might sound obvious, but are you 100% sure you have double checked the physical cables from your Luna card to your monitors or to your outboard monitor amp or mixer. If you have a mass of cables it can be easy to accidentally connect the left and right cables the wrong way around.

Yes, I have triple checked everything. Let me explain, this is only happening with sound sources OUTSIDE the DAW, in Win 7 and Win 10.

Audio from Cubase is actually playing correctly...

Super strange.

That's because it's using ASIO, I would presume. Correct?

And you didn't clarify 32bit or 64bit for Win/Scope. Your answer likely lies there, but...

To be clear, we have to eliminate the variables we don't know on the other side of the screen, before providing an answer that fits a particular case. Note the announcement at the top of this forum.

Yes, I'm using the Scope v5.1.2709-x64 only.
I'm not using the MOBO onboard sound card.
Windows 10 Pro x64 installation.

Please let me know if you need more info.

I believe 64bit is your issue, but will let GaryB confirm.

No need to respond twice, I gathered that was the case from your previous reply:

Check the 5th post here, it seems the Wave source reversed is a known bug....not sure if there has been a fix since then but this might at least explain your issue.

I am sure GaryB can provide up to date info on this.
