Key recovery possible?

Post by tonatona »

Hi,

i remember buying and using Solaris 5. However i can't find any e-mail with the key. I have a list with all the keys but miss this specific key. I had to reinstall the software and enter the John Bowen keys.
Is it possible to receive the key again?

Thanks, Anton

Write to SonicCore's support mail.

Alternatively - If you have a backup of your old Scope installation, the key-file in that scope installation is all you need :)

did you buy from the SonicCore shop?
if so, there is a record.
did you buy from John Bowen directly?
again, there is a record.
did you buy from Creamware?
there is no record of Creamware purchases....

You might want to check your Keyfile and see if Solaris key is under a different name. When I upgraded from pci cards to XITE-1 I got new keyfiles for my XITE-1 and when I looked at my John Bowen synths the Solaris was missing BUT there was a new key for Orion Custom Ex wich worked fine for activating Solaris. Don't know if that situation was unique to me or not I just remembered wondering what happened to my Solaris and then finding out I was given a new key to Orion wich worked for Solaris.

Thank you for the answers. I copied the key from an old backup file. I didn't know that you can extract single keys from the keyfile, i thought the keys are encrypted.

they are encrypted, but they do not go bad, and the keyfile is simply a convenient list of keys.
