Re: Midi notes hanging....
SCOPE v5.1 or v7 ?
I had it occasionally already in SCOPE 5.1 w/ XITE.
Didn´t use the SCOPE 15DSP card much at that time ´cause I left it w/ SCOPE 4.5 even I bought SCOPE 5.1 for it.
I remember the SCOPE 4 and 4.5 versions didn´t suffer much from hanging MIDI notes.

Re: Midi notes hanging....
See if it helps to put a midi-filter device after your midi input, to filter active sensing.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Midi input may suffer from aging optocouplers or (same effect) if the transmitter doesn't produce enough juice.
I can't use my iConnectivity interface to send midi to Scope, but the old Alesis ioDock works flawless.
(same iPad, same Scope system, so no influences from OS)
The iConnectivity works with an EMagic midi box, so it's not flawed either.
