yes. don't expect it to work as well as a PCI slot.
you're better off finding another(used) motherboard that has the slots you want.

I also use motherboards with pci, but I also thought about these ones:

( This might not be the one for scopecards, but there is one for full lenght pci, too.)
Any experiences on that ?

Hi nebenfürst, this Port PCI-e to 4X PCI Slot Expansion Enclosure succs. I had it at home, did not work! If I needed any Mainboard, then use the asus asus z87-k for about 60 bucks and it has 3 PCI Slots, and supports a moderne CPU. But not These boxes.
I have seen the pcie Adapter to pci and I was amused. Im shure it will NOT work. Dont try it!
