A lot of DSP Errors. Cannot Start Scope (7)!

Post by DJTrEVo »

Hi,
I just reconnected my Pulsar 2 because of the new scope version. But I have some problems.
the install process has been successful but when I try to run Scope software I receive this error messages:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/5613305xhqxew ... s.png?dl=0

sometimes, the scope software starts but it's like it doesn't find any hardware.
Is my Pulsar 2 broken? What do you think? Is it reparable?

Thanks a lot,

Marco

If there is no hardware fault there is something with the installation process.
When I see these kind of errors i find one the following two things:

1 - I am trying to run Scope when there is still another Scope running; This one is easy to happen when Scope is running in back ground, specially Scope 7 that is missing the taskbar icon at least the first time it is run after the install;

2 - "shit" happened during the installation process or operation. Remove the drivers in the device manager and reboot.

Hope it is one of these and not an hardware fault.

Cheers

Thanks for your answer!
I double checked if Scope is running in the background. No luck.

I tried to remove the drivers and reboot and now I always able to start the scope software but I have a lot of new errors! (they appear each after the other)

I'm really sad...I had love the sonic core enviroment but if my pulsar is broken I will say goodbye to it forever :'( I can't afford a new hardware!

Not pretty indeed.

You have some errors that i haven't seen before, so an hardware fault may be your case, but: Have you already tried with a new empty project?

This is weird... Is your windows installation old ?

Do you have another pc to try your card ? They are really solid : I've got 3 and one of them is 20 years old ! Working almost everyday ! If you stocked it correctly before to use it again, there is no reason it's broken. A lot of thing may those messages appearing.

Before to conclude it's dead, be patient and make tests. First, with another pc or on a fresh windows install.

This.

Also, cleaning the golden contacts may help too.

Hi,
Yes, I had the similar error messages with 5.1 but only when I try to run Scope the first 2, 3 times after starting my computer.
Then everything worked correctly.
I decided to disconnect the card due to continuous noise problems with windows 10 waiting for an update.

The update is available but my card not.

Thanks 4 your answer.
I stocked it correctly and it seems not damaged so I will follow your advice: I will try with another pc.
