ASIO merge module

Hi,
I'm running in a hybrid XTC mode, and I had a major computer failure last month. I 've rebuilt everything, but my XTC project is missing the asio to asio merge module, and I can't seem to find it anywhere in the devices. Does anyone know how to get it into the project ? or more relevant , what does it do?? I've connected one asio source to dest directly , without the merger, and it seems to work ok..
