Maybe reseating the PCI cards is not quite enough. Could it possibly be the contacts have become tarnished? Maybe try a little contact cleaner and a cotton bud on the PCI contacts and see if that cleans them up and gets rid of errors. If not let us know

I've seen this message countless times (literally) - it means all or nothing at all
in most cases it wasn't even related to physical connection
unplug the powercord, switch on/off the PC a couple of times so the capacitors discharge
wait a moment, plug in the powercord again and start as usual - it often magically recovers

I would do exactly that ! That happend to me too.

if it keeps happening, try swapping the HDMI cable?
