Can Scope's WAVE source work in XTC without project loaded?
Can Scope's WAVE source work in XTC without project loaded?
is it possible to use wave source of scope, without opening a scope project, and XTC mode enabled. ???
Re: Can Scope's WAVE source work in XTC without project load
I don't use "xtc" mode so this is from memory several years ago:
When "xtc" mode is loaded through your sequencer, it is a specific scope project that it loads in the background
located in the scope folders.
Perhaps you can alter this project and see. I think yes it is possible

Re: Can Scope's WAVE source work in XTC without project load
what about without even a sequenser?? just with a media player??
....and about XTC PROJECT.pro... What are the configurations?

Re: Can Scope's WAVE source work in XTC without project load
For the "xtc" mode to be loaded, a sequencer with the scope asio driver should be loaded.
Re: Can Scope's WAVE source work in XTC without project load
which means that only asio source works? not wave source?
Re: Can Scope's WAVE source work in XTC without project load
No this means that
a. you need a sequencer with asio to activate the "xtc" mode
b. you should alter the "xtc" project (keep a backup of the original)
and add there the wave drivers. Route these to asio in, or to the output
c. If you route the wave driver to the asio in, you should monitor it through your daw,
otherwise if it is mixed alongside asio it will work as opposed

also-
there is no 64bit XTC mode.
also-
XTC mode is the crippled version of Scope mode, not vice versa.

Re: Can Scope's WAVE source work in XTC without project load
Yes as GaryB says "xtc" mode is not recommended.
pros:
a. you can see and automate parameters as you do with vst plugs
b. only one project
c. Perhaps better midi timing
cons:
a. every scope effect you load will add latency and quickly consume "communication" channels
(several effects loaded in a chain will add considerable latency)
b. if you use the multi-fx so to minimize the communication you won't be able to automate parameters.
c. no routing window

cons:
d. the signal ends up in the daw mixer

Re: Can Scope's WAVE source work in XTC without project load
just to specify.... I wanted it to work just for audio files playback...not for making it all in the sequenser. For Creating music...I do it always with scopesequenser in asio communication that works for me best for all of my projects...
This is another topic, that I will probably start....about projects for different occasions..

Re: Can Scope's WAVE source work in XTC without project load
So you can't do "just audio files playback" with your current setup?
