I've been getting a lot of these running my XITE lately.
I'm not violating any copy protection!
I have checked the cabling several times and if I try to push them in any harder, maybe we can start talking about violation of a whole different kind...
It's pretty frustrating, beacuse I have to reboot the machine every time.
Any ideas as to why I get these?

Yes,
I've had this happen to me a few times, but not lately. I just pushed my cards into the slots firmly and reseated all the STDM cables. But this shouldn't be happening with the Xite-1... Maybe it's a bad HDMI cable?

I've been using the cable that came with the box, and it has been working fine for several years.
Can a cable turn bad by not touching it/handling it at all for several years?

bad HDMI cable or fingerprints on the contacts of the PCIe card would be the main suspects.

Well,
If you didn't touch it or move it, it should be fine.
I thought I had a problem with my Wii composite output to the TV because there was a bit of snow on the screen. I guess I pushed the cables a bit too hard against the wall when I hung the TV. Got another cable and it's looking great (well, for a 10 year old console).
If there was any movement to the cable, it may be bad.

Re: Don't mess with the copy protection - WTF!?
Earlier this year I had to replace my cable to my Xite when I transferred to a new computer, It was extremely bad timing because I thought it was the computer or the PCIe slot. Frustrating. I would try it at least, it's just a normal HDMI cable I think
Re: Don't mess with the copy protection - WTF!?
I think the xite is really sensitive to power, if I turn on my monitors with the system running I'll get one of those warnings.Same if I turn on my tube amp. Reboot of the system sorts it but it is very annoying.

Solar flare.
