I've installed it via usb with scope 5.1 and installed the BCR2000 drivers.

Re: help needed to setup BCR2000 to control sc synths
there is no way for Scope to see something through USB, unless there is a program in between. drivers can only talk to software, not other drivers.
you will need either a midi track in the sequencer to provide a bridge(midi track with USB midi input and Scope output) or a loopback program, many good loopback apps are available for free.

Hallo.
i think if you want directly play the synths (stand alone) not over your sequencer (DAW) you must connect the controller over the midi out port direct to the midi in on your card. Then connect in scope: Scope midi a source out to the synth you want to play.
If you play over your DAW and th BCR is connected over usb, you must connect in scope: Sequencer midi source to your synth. In your sequencer enable the midi in port from your BCR2000.
Hope that helps a little bit. If not ask again.
Cheers Tomas

Re: help needed to setup BCR2000 to control sc synths
yes, an external midi cable is the easiest way.
Re: help needed to setup BCR2000 to control sc synths
Show us your project window ! And as ta7 says, how did you link your BC to Scope ! There is no reason it doesn't work.
Re: help needed to setup BCR2000 to control sc synths
Again, Copperlan it´s the best solution for this!!!

But I'm sick connecting cables...ta7 wrote:Hey JoPo your Avatar Skocks.
Ambient Source doesn't respond anymore ! He hanged himself with a midi cable or what ?

Hey Ambient here is a good picture where you can see how to connect the controller to the card.

Copperlan support is great but it still doesn't see my network cards on both my machines....

What ? Copperlan doesn't see your midi devices ?? Or your network cards ? How it that possible ? It works like a swiss clock, here !ronnie wrote:Copperlan support is great but it still doesn't see my network cards on both my machines.
Re: help needed to setup BCR2000 to control sc synths
Only sees local MIDI ports but not Nic. So no ports on networked machines show. This is in Win 7 and 8.1.

I really don't know what to do ! Maybe update network drivers..? I guess you already did !

Yeah, Phillipe is going to remote in and see what's what. Thanks for the Lyle Mays link, the man is one of the great unsung heroes of synth and jazz!

Re: help needed to setup BCR2000 to control sc synths
Thanks for your help.
My setup is simple my master keyboard is plugged in to the BCR's midi in port
The BCR's output midi cable is going into the Pulsar midi in
and both are connected via usb as well
If I disconnect the BCR and just have the keyboard , I can play the profit
In the project window pulsar midi in is going to the Profit 5 (see attached jpg)
I use either Studio one or Reaper as my DAW, (but scopes Dll's always crash)
and although both the BCR and my keyboard work with no problem in studio one and reaper
Scope will not respond even when the sequencer source module outputs to the profit
I'm finding Scope pretty frustrating....fantastic sound but a pain to use
What I was hoping to do was load devices into my Daw and control them with the BCR, and
output everything through scopes mixer
I was planning on buying an x-ite
but I need it to fit in with my workflow

I also tried to use copperlan with 2 machines, I installed it on both my main PC and my Scope testing machine
but on the scope machine copperlan could just see the main PC with no midi connections on the scope machine.
win 7 x86

Studio One and Reaper crash?
something else is up. those apps don't have issues with Scope.

Re: help needed to setup BCR2000 to control sc synths
Well.. If midi channels are set correctly, I don't why it wouldn't work.
And if you put the "sequencer midi source 1" module at the profit midi input in Scope, then play notes on a "pci midi 1" track in your sequencer, you don't get any profit sound ?
Scope may be frustrating at the beginning but when you know how to use it, it will be hard to do without...

Gary: Studio one and Reaper refuse to load the Scope dll's , If I rescan vst's in studio one or reaper (both x86)
the d'lls won't load ( also I don't have a Profit 5, Minimax, pro-oddesy dll's in the scope pci folder)
''And if you put the "sequencer midi source 1" module at the profit midi input in Scope, then play notes on a "pci midi 1" track in your sequencer, you don't get any profit sound ?''
yes, thats right, but i can play fine in my daw?
bloody strange maybe I should reinstall everything?
