Any ideas on what might be wrong? The Scope instruments work all fine. I rebooted the computer and it didn't fix the issue.
Thanks,

Re: Just started happening... annoying noise when opening So
that may be a card failing. the message about lost contact with dsp 0 is an ominous one.
try cleaning the card's contacts with 99% alcohol, a good commercial contact cleaner, or even lightly with a WHITE pencil eraser. don't use less than 99% alcohol if you choose alcohol.
have you tried a different project? perhaps that one is corrupted. try building a new project from a blank routing window.

Re: Just started happening... annoying noise when opening So
I have isopropyl alcohol so I can try it. That's the default project, I didn't load up a custom one. Everything works inside scope.

Re: Just started happening... annoying noise when opening So
I tried another project also, with the same results...
Re: Just started happening... annoying noise when opening So
it better be at least 99% pure. anything else will make things much worse...tlaskows wrote:I have isopropyl alcohol so I can try it. That's the default project, I didn't load up a custom one. Everything works inside scope.

I will take out all the cards and try to isolate the issue first. But yeah, it's at least 99% pure...

Re: Just started happening... annoying noise when opening So
I'll keep a good thought, Tom. I once had a similar issue and it looked like Windows all of a sudden put an S/PDIF output in the Windows audio configuration. When I disabled it the noise went away. It sounded very similar. Since I never use S/PDIF I wondered how it got there but when I deleted it it went away. Took me a while to track down because I didn't think of it at all, only when I checked the Windows audio control panel did I see it there. I had no S/PDIF ins or outs in use anywhere, in SCOPE or in SONAR. I only use ADAT for digital or Z-Link.

Well, wave out works. Only ASIO seems to cause the issue. I haven't had time to investigate yet as it was my bro's bday today. I will see tomorrow.

software monitoring? it does sound like feedback.
never seen that with those error messages and i didn't see it in the meters...

Some good news Gary
Looks like the cards are not dying yet. I uninstalled and installed the driver again and it works great now. Now more weird noises

Yes, I am happy rocking 45 DSPs... until I can afford an Xite of course
