Thanx for the advice .. I will revisit the shop next week and dig further ...
(I MIGHT be doing a bit of rendering using after-effects and stuff - but audio/SCOPE has a much higher priority for me ...

Thank you very much Thomas ... I will double check ..
(These guys at this huge chain are not very proffesional when it comes to PCI ... (And pro audio) - and the pro audio/PC place declined the job because it didnt want to deal with the scope environment - thus all these newbie questions on my part

Re: MIX STRIP
Havent tried it yet ... but im sure its awesome-sauce
Hey DAWMAN, scope question - dont you get phasing (interference) when processing in parallel like this ? (Due to delay from fx /routing ? ).
Is there something u do to overcome it ?
Thanx

Re: CwMix16-16
YAY !!! :) Looks awsome , Love your mixers ! :) One request if possible. On my current system - the mixer LEDS really cause alot of graphical glitches and slowness to other windows ... Is there any possiblity to have the option to turn off the LEDS (or maybe make the integration time longer in case ...

Finally Starting to plan my new PC. help/advice appreciated
Hi, Im starting to move forward with buying a new PC ... I think I will buy custom parts from retailers here and maybe get some help assembling/configing it (The "AudioPC" labs here dont want to take on the job as they do not want to mess with the SCOPE cards ... :/) In any case - the new ...

Re: Mixing in Scope - Device latencies/phase problems
Yeah, but somehow I am not getting cubase to recognize communications through MIDI (with the clock modules and MTCtoClk). (The sync indicator shows "Idle") Basically the framerate of the project should match the incoming sync - and I was thinking that maybe that is the problem (although th...

Re: Mixing in Scope - Device latencies/phase problems
And yeah, I couldnt load the VRCs (is it possible to run it or is it incompatible with 5.1?) And I couldnt seem to replicate feeding the scope clock module or bc midi clock via ASIO2 ... (The improvement I got is not dependant on the ASIO 2 protocol AFAIK - its about sending out midi clock from cuba...

Re: Mixing in Scope - Device latencies/phase problems
Not sure about how to do that .... I couldnt get my clock/sync to go thru ASIO2 (and are you suggesting to loop the acope audio out back to the vdat in ?)astroman wrote:you could even simplify it by tracking Scope with VDAT and the sequencer via Asio simultaneously...

Re: Mixing in Scope - Device latencies/phase problems
@Astro - I hear ya, But keep in mind that the domain I am digging in is the sw domain (between the sequencer and the scope on the same PC - no hw midi outs or cables - and no "Real" physical external hw ... I dont know how "reliable" the time stamps are - but it seems that cubase...

Re: Mixing in Scope - Device latencies/phase problems
I reqlly dont know why Im wasting my breath on you and your remarks ... But this is also relevant to the discussion with gary/directmusic and all that stuff so : just a quick google of "MIDI timestamp" (try it , you douche) " For playback of hardware devices, Live also generates times...

Re: Mixing in Scope - Device latencies/phase problems
I hear ya ... At the end of the day Im just trying to get "the most" out of scope (and my setup) - and something which I think is technologically reasonable .... Technically there is no reason for midi jitter (as far as I understand) BECAUSE its not realtime events ... Its just metadata ab...

Re: Mixing in Scope - Device latencies/phase problems
But its currently using "Windows MIDI" format ...
The" useless" part is regarding your "windows is windows and MIDI is midi ..." Vibe.
(Though this midi jitter seems to happen on mac as well ...)

Re: Mixing in Scope - Device latencies/phase problems
Thanx ... The ironic thing is - I dont really have/need external hardware control ... I am actually trying to better the midi between my sequencer and the scope environment (so it will be totally messed up (and ironic) if my end solution would another midi interface that will feed midi into scope an...
