Hey there! I'm using a Sony MZ-R90 MiniDISC recorder with a Sony MS-907 and 957 stereo electret digital mics. At first, I was skeptical of its recording quality as it records compressed audio but I was rather pleasantly surprised when I first recorded my first on-location (enviro) sounds! When I pla...

Hey there! I'm using both LAP5 and CubaseSX on the same drive partition without any problem at all. I switch back and forth between the two and they both work just fine! I even tried running both just for the sake of it (but you have to release LAP's or SX's ASIO first - I can't remember which) and ...

SX simply stopped after it initialised. The USB key was secured - red light and all. Much to my hesitance, I went ahead and re-installed WinXP Pro (fresh). SX works fine now! I also went ahead and installed SP1 and it's a go! The reason I suspected SP1 is that it killed my USB network on my ...

Cool! I didn't think about that one. Thanks for the info!

Regarding SX: I'm suspecting SP1 since I didn't have that loaded on my other setup. Can anyone verify this?

Thanks much again!

Hello! I hope all of you are doing well.... [PULSAR II] I just built a new PC box for Creamware Pulsar II+ running on Win XP Pro. I noticed that the WAV properties can only handle 16bits. The 24&32bit radio buttons are greyed out. [CUBASE SX] Cubase doesn't start at all. It initialises through a...

Hey there!

I just got the Aphex 207 mic tube preamp driving 2 Rode NT2s. The sound mix result is just absolutely stunning! I was also considering Presonus' M20 but what sold me to Aphex was their true tube amplifier called Reflected Plate Amplifier.

Hey there!

If budget permitting, then, the Avalon is the way to go. I went for the Aphex 207 and I absolutely love the thing, especially upgrading from the Mackie 1402vlz's mic pre's. And, the price is very right!

My deep sympathy to you, sir. This is a trying moment. Let time be your friend to help mend your loss. I, too lost my best and only mate a few years ago. She was my first and only girlfriend in my life. We were together for 3.5 years and after, she decided to move on.... I wish for you to heal well....

Hey gang! For all this time, I've been using my trusty 'ol Mackie 1402's built-in pre-amp (not 'Pro'), which is, suffice it to say, "okay". Actually, I really like the sound I'm getting from these puppies, of course, lots of sound shaping via plug-ins. At this point, it's time to move on.....

Not exactly, since you're basically creating a totally new track including the effects. The original sample is unscathed.

By the way, cool lockes you got there Mr. Gary B!

Is it possible to apply any of SFP's effects module the way you apply effects in tripleDAT?! I don't think it's possible but perhaps... I really like the way how you apply those effects on any tripleTracks by simply merging it with the added effects, it's quite faster than resampling it in real time...
