Re: Novation Nova II Keyboard

Hi guys, I just bought a Novation Bass station, the old one from 1995. A real analog monophon rack synthesizer. Cost only 170 euros. It is compromiseless real analog sound. All parameters can be controlled by midi back and forth, has 99 presets. This little 19" beast has the right sound, and c...

Re: Tutorials Video/Books

do what i do just use the mouse with no talking showing is the best part I could do this, but I think it probably helps in parts of the learning process if the tutor describes what they're doing and why. I could add subtitles easily enough and probably will do, but again that's a distraction from w...

That didn't take long :o

I'll send you a PM with a link to the first tutorial when it's done and we'll give it at shot.

Thanks :)

Re: Tutorials Video/Books

I'm planning to produce some video tutorials for the BC Modular site and I wonder if anyone would be interested in volunteering their services as narrator - I can't stand the sound of my own voice and I appreciate how distracting an irritating vocal can be in a tutorial video :P

Re: SCOPE - Your personal highlights 2013

It was a really good year for Scope SDK developments with lots of new devices posted here on Z. It's great to see some new developers coming through and also a few old ones resurfacing.

I think roy thinnes deserves a special mention for his efforts in 2013.

Re: SDK 6 installation

yes, you can't run both afaik... Correct. It's always been the case that you can't load both applications at the same time. Earlier versions of the SDK give a warning when you try to run them at the same time as their equivalent Scope version. Something like - ' Cannot Start ScopeSDK - Please close...

PS - Data 1 and Data 2 are reversed on the SDK module. You might want to rename those

Re: SDK 6 installation

Great, thanks! So I can load in SDK6 a project created in SDK5? Or I have to do it again from scratch, knowing that all the modules are there? Except the GUI elements, of course. If you fold your circuit and save it as a module [in SDK5] then copy the module to the SDK6 devices folder it can be loa...

Re: SDK 6 installation

So the SDK6 is not that far from SDK5 after all, right? Yes, I have the SDK5 and it's working fine. Good to hear I can use both at the same time. I can load projects from SDK5 in 6? There are huge differences between the two but certainly with the 32bit PCI versions the drivers are compatible and m...

Re: SDK 6 installation

Do you suggest starting to learn SDK5 to do devices and then move to SDK6, or wait until the problem is solved and start clean with SDK6? If you have SDK5 and it's working on your system then yes, I would recommend learning to use it. At the very least it will help you to learn about the DSP module...

Re: Something about MIDI controller support in BC Modular

I am using m-audio uc33e midi controller now, but im not really happy with it. Now i have read that this midibox project does transmit higher resolution, and i am very interested in this one. I wanted to build a midibox sid for months now, and this midi controller has made it on my to do list now a...

Re: Something about MIDI controller support in BC Modular

I don't see what I've said that could have given you the impression I'm unhappy about Copperlan. I´ve probably misread your post because I understood 16Bit resolution for MIDI in Copperlan might destroy your work on 14Bit modules in BC Modular. Maybe language prob here, sorry. I never had the impre...

Re: Something about MIDI controller support in BC Modular

I don´t see what the point is at all. When there´s Copperlan embedded w/ SCOPE 6, there will be virtual MIDI ports visable in the, now "embedded" manager application which does the routing, merging, re-channelizing and such. BC Modular will be in the SCOPE environment and profit from that...

Re: Something about MIDI controller support in BC Modular

I'm really looking forward to Copperlan in Scope6. Like I said earlier in this thread, I've no idea what it'll mean for BC Modular. Like the rest of you I could hazard some guesses but then I'd rather be surprised than disappointed. Also, it's worth bearing in mind that the Modular isn't your averag...

Re: modular rapture (some new modules)

I've been desperate to try out these new modules, but I've been snowed under the past few days with various things.

I promise to give them a go over the weekend and expect to be back with glowing praise. They sure look the part.

Thanks again :)

Re: You all suck.

All I'm saying is, that it is not simple. And no I'm not running a professional studio. I like my scope system a lot, but I'm not blinded by hype or love for the system. I'm not talking about the basic scope installation which I agree is easy and simple to install. No what I'm talking about is gett...

Re: Something about MIDI controller support in BC Modular

SCOPE talking directly to hardware without the need for loopback drivers and such would also be good. Scope wouldn't even need to communicate directly with the hardware. Windows communicates with the hardware. The software MIDI IOs of Scope would only need to communicate with Windows the same as an...

Re: Something about MIDI controller support in BC Modular

Midi over USB In I've got a prototype working (USB->MIDI with no PC). But it's more a DIY thing at the moment. I haven't checked it for latency yet, nor how well it works with various SYSEX messages. Maybe I'd do a kickstart campaign and take it to production if there was interest and the planets a...
