Re: Out of nostalgia question JBridge usage

I had been working for a long while with Studio One, till version 5 and something, but then Cubase implemented such MIDI capabilities that I could not resist to go back (I was into Cubase since the beginning of times), I did go back, and now I will stay here forever, I can feel it. MIDI in Cubase go...

Re: Out of nostalgia question JBridge usage

Thank you Bud, I've tried Reaper long ago, cool, but MIDI was (in those days), pretty unprecise. I got back to the old good Cubase, because of MIDI. I was just thinking in some of my old plugins that I would like to have back, but..., nothing truly urgent to have, just some nostalgia for them ...

Out of nostalgia question JBridge usage

Anyone into JBridge?
I would like to use some of my old stuff x86 again, is it stable or should I forget about it? Cheers.

Re: How do you promote your artist persona/brand?

It's disheartening however, looking at the music scene today. Quality is not the norm anymore. It's all about instagram, facebook, and whatnot, how many tattoos you have, funky hairdo, the right clothes and gear. And as you would expect with such media and attitudes, it has become a playground for ...

Re: The end of an era

the MS promises bug. Yeah, they also said, many, many years ago, that they were considering building a windows dedicated OS for DAW purpose only, it has never happened, unfortunately. I can only imagine how cool it would be to have a win10 dedicated OS for MIDI and AUDIO, very light and totally deb...

Re: The end of an era

Very interesting read about these aspects, I didn't know it was kind of in the first line in such a way in those days.

Re: Madness, I like virtual synths MORE than hardware

For example, the Arturia SQ80-V, contains the "exact" reconstruction of the original, plus several options that only hardware has with weird possibilities, beyond the hardware unit. I'm talking about the latest version, it is a joy to work with truly, remarkable engineering.

In my mind, a hardware synth should be designed to be an intuitive instrument first and foremost, with an immediacy and intuitive setup

Madness, I like virtual synths MORE than hardware

It is crazy, but we have reached such a level of development and possibilities that I am surprised my instinct likes more the virtual world of synths than the hardware ones. Timbers are millions into your hands, everything can be so fast, FXs, anything to anywhere, multiple instruments with insertio...

Climbing can be such a strong addiction when you get into it: adrenaline all over the place and breathing like crazy makes you feel alive and well.
I do cycle too, but with a fixed one at home.
Ok, best of lucks brother.

I truly NEED music or I get crazy.

Re: New Nektar LX 49+ review first use

I understand Tom, I have some similar problems but playing guitar. I’ve got some tendinitis in my right arm, (upper area), and cannot longer play guitar with a pick as usual for more than 10, 15 minutes. Look, magnesium citrate and potassium citrate have helped me a real lot on this condition. The d...

¿Do you realize how big new computers can be?

there are new sticks of ram of up to 512 GB each, CPUs with 48 cores and more, SSDs ultrafast and reliable (like the Nimbus), of up to 100 TB, etc., etc., wow.... where are we going and what for? Extreme AI perhaps? :o
