Re: Patchbay
great thanks for the info Gary :) I really won't be fiddling with the cabling a whole lot but having such a cramped space these days it's excruciating trying to re-route stuff. Hey Tom if you have a BCR2000 have you checked this out? https://zaqaudio.com/ I don't really use mine all that much and ha...
Re: Patchbay
cool. I may do that.
What do you think of the Behringer's line of patchbays? The prices are good on ebay.
I've always had good results with their equipment for the price.
Thanks guys

Re: You wanted it - you got it! Mod4/Flexor/5.1/Faxi XMASS S
it's a glitch in their system. If you don't mind paying it now Gary will square up with you for sure, just let him know. He always has with me.
Patchbay
I'm thinking of getting one to link to my A16 so that I will never have to reach behind it to reconfigure once it is mounted. Looking at something like this: http://origin.behringer.com/EN/Products/PX2000.aspx The only thing i'm concerned with is will it degrade the quality of the sound? Any suggest...

Re: You wanted it - you got it! Mod4/Flexor/5.1/Faxi XMASS S
Thanks Faxi for the patches. Can't wait to try them all out. It will probably take me all of 2016 to thru them all haha. I already have Mod IV and bought Flexor back in May I think. I would echo all the great stuff that's been said about Flexor, it's got some really cool sounding modules. Just be wa...

Re: a16 Ultra
yeah I can't really leave everything on as I am gone for long periods of time. Also it's a crowded room and heat is def an issue. Do they make "soft" switch pwr strips? Power conditioner maybe? Those appear more for preventing external surges though. What do the big studios use? I can't im...

awesome! thanks for the help everyone!
One other quick question on power supplies. Will using a standard surge protector switch to power up your devices "spike" or wear down the pwr supplies?

I recently got one on ebay and I have a couple of quick questions if anyone can help out would be much appreciated. 1. I am not planning on needing it right away, in fact it could be a few years. -Would storing it in a box in my closet degrade the longevity of it's working condition or would it be b...

Re: Old Mixer
After a lengthy search, I have found this
http://xpmtl.net/sdiy/fixing-a-behringer-mx8000-desk/
The pic looks like that's the underside of the board. Can anyone confirm this.
If so then that may be my quick fix to try wiggling some ribbon cables.

Feedback destroyer
Is there a way to eliminate feedback using scope modules/mixers/effects? I'm tired of headphones and want to use the mic with my monitors on. No room to move anything or rearrange anything.
I should add that I DO NOT plan on recording like this. Just to practice and play.

Re: Old Mixer
Awesome! Bud, Gary thanks for the info! Ack! I had not thought about having to remove all of the caps and faders. I think this will be my last analog mixer. I just won an A16 Ultra on ebay so i think I will try and just use that and my Presonus Digimax as inputs. Hard to abandon a piece of gear like...
Re: Old Mixer
LOL apparently i'm not alone in my methods. Scroll down to the last post.

I wonder if it might be the ribbon cables? That I think I can do unless of course they are proprietary.
