Any standard controller should work. Whichever one is the "best" completely depends on what you want to do with it.

yeah they've been catching some heavy flak on the cubasenet forums about this. It seems that Steinberg's quality control is having serious problems.

btw on the original Sonic Timeworks version of the plate reverb there was a "light PCI" version too but I guess the Soniccore version is just the full plate algorythm.

Well those reverbs have always been notoriously PCI hungry. I'm lucky if I can even load one of them in a project without getting PCI overflow messages, but then one of my cards is an old Pulsar I so that might have something to do with it.

strange, usually electronics and computer components are significantly cheaper in the USA compared over here in europe...

cost is already closer to $3,- per gigabyte now. Lowest price of the Intel X25 M 80 GB is about 180 euro here now. A year ago this cost 600-700 Euro's!
