I suppose a cunning, if potentially arduous way of acheiving this would be to have several sample programs playing the same sample with tuned sub-sections of an octave and use the midi-splitter module to map your keyboard to the various samples. I'm not sure how you're expecting to actually play the...

I think the STS's are supposed to be 'exact' copies of Akai samplers, hence the similarity here. You might want to post a question in the Modular section of the forum to see if there's any way of constructing a Modular device to do this job. I don't have the Modular 2, so can't help I'm afraid.

Hi there Amundsen, The Powersampler manual (from v2.5) has all the information about tuning for STS3000. You will get at least this much control in any of the STS samplers. http://www.creamware.de/en/download/manuals/powersampler/default.asp Check page 38 for full details. I wanted to post a section...

I've noticed you've gone off this idea anyway, but I thought I'd mention that Compaq gear tends to need proprietary memory, which can be a bit more difficult to get (and expensive).

On the other hand, we use Compaq at work and it seems to be pretty stable, but not sure about using it for music.

Sorry to have to revive this one! Question to Abre mainly. You have Luna II and Pulsar XTC? Did you have to upgrade separately to Pulsar software and Propack? How much did it cost?

As someone who would like to get more out of their STS3000, I would very much like there to be an STS section in this forum. If people are worried about it being too specific, maybe a 'Sampling' section might be better. It could include helpful tips from people like Eliam on how to get the best out ...

To Subhuman: I would be interested to know how often you get Pulsars in secondhand and how much they usually cost. I'm keeping my eye on e-bay, but would definitely be interested if you had one to sell. Re. Sound module discussion, It's more the fact that you have banks of sounds prepared for you th...

Looks like I'd better start saving my pennies then! Where do you recommend looking for second hand gear. Is e-bay my best bet? On an entirely different note, can you think of any reason why there is no 'Sound Module' type device for Creamware, as I would definitely consider replacing my Roland JV208...

Thanks for the prompt reply. One option I was thinking of going for was buying a Pulsar I or II to go with my Luna and get a ADAT card for the DSP Factory. Are there any inherent differences I should be aware of between the Pulsar I and II, or is it merely a different number of DSPs? I'm not hugely ...

Hi, I use a Yamaha DS2416 with my Powersampler card running Luna II software at version 2.5 and Cubase VST24 3.7. Does anyone know how to route audio between the Powersampler and DSP Factory. I don't seem to be able to get the Sound Card Dest modules for the DS2416 to work in the Luna application. I...

I think you're probably referring to the fact that Luna users cannot buy the Propack, as it is for Pulsar software only. So, you should target these people if you want to sell your software. However, it seems likely that if all cards will have the same software after 3.1, you'd better be quick! Chee...

Hi everyone, I'm thinking of upgrading to Luna v3 software for my Powersampler card, mainly for the new version of STS3000. Is this worthwhile? I've heard the filters are better, but there's not much more info about. Cheers in advance, Will P.S. If anyone has a copy of the STS3000 v3 manual it would...
