Watch out 4 that ancient back east fucking heater so close to your gear. If it is an AC that's cool, no pun intended, but those old things suck the life out of any electrical gear. Glad to see you are preparing for battle again.

I am involved in an experiment with my sponsor, Ultimate Ears, and a 3rd party developer 4 SFP in an experiment to use and sell custom built DAW's which would house custom built FOH / Monitor mixers in SFP 4 specific use with wireless, in your ear solutions, that are 3- way, bi-amped, kick ass monit...

In just 4 days we will have the ultimate DAW man 4 SFP here in Las Vegas putting this DAW through the MVPRO tests and such. Hang 4 a few more days as he will even have the IRQ settings 4 us, and how fast Core 2 Duo can pour our coffee.

I like the sounds of most of my synths and samples now because I just add a touch of PsyQ to my acoustic samples, and Celmo's Pultecator on synths if I am layering 2 or 3 pads with different ADSR's. MYCYRANNO's Move EQ is a neat little trick on Autopanning of Rhodes, and Wurlitzer samples. This work...

Make sure they are exactly what you need though. You may have a low profile AGP, and won't need to use the AGP and PCI riser combo. I would trust the 2 x PCI riser first in that case.

Wow,..We sure come up with quality workarounds here don't we. I always wanted to try seperated, uneeded layers in Giga 3's bloated samples, and send then to STS, but GS3 has been so stable live, that I have left it alone. I only need 4 velocity layers for a good upright piano from Vintaudio, and onl...

If there are no new cards, I will still use my hardware till it dies completely. Then, and only then, I will break out my Oberheims and go to the only logical choice of quality, as I believe that VSTi's shall come along with the new amounts of power from Core 2 Duo, but they will never replace my be...

I was under the assumption that to get the cards to fit, you would need to install them on a horizontal PCI riser card, which sticks up off of the PCI slot at a 90 degree angle, and they are made with an AGP + 2 x PCI, and even have PCI-X, and PCI-e extensions. Unless you can install the cards uprig...

I always load up the heaviest DSP consuming synths first, for B2003 always seems to find a way to squeeze itself in after I make sure all my modulation FX, mixer, and synths, can fit. It has to be the most efficient synth ever made in terms of DSP usage. Not to mention an excellant tonewheel model. ...

Good To Hear My Brothers From Up North Are Using The Ultimate DSP Platform still. Send me a PM if you ever come to Las Vegas, and you can hear Scope synths through 5 surround mixes, right along side of Capybara from Kyma, which is another great DSP Platform. But their stuff is better suited for audi...

Don't hold you breath on that idea. Check on Pricewatch.com. Or get the new Intel DP965LT w/ the cheap NVidia PCI-e video card, and the cheap OCZ PC2 RAM, and the cheapest Core 2 Duo CPU, the E6600. That is an inexpensive SFP set up which can be upgraded later when prices drop. This set up works wel...

Ralf,
Is this the demise of SFP in 2006? That's 9 years earlier than Nostrodamus's predictions! My god, Bill Gates is attacking the server way ahead of schedule.
I guess his weapons platforms can now send lightning instead of overbloated code attacks.

I still use my ancient Yamaha DMP7, QX-1, and TX816 years after they were supposedly obselete. Believe me guys, there is no blue book for musical gear. I had great teachers growing up.
