In any case, when you have an alpha channel in an image, especially if output by a non 3D software, you should always test in OS mode to see what happens. It is possible that you get some strange behaviours like a transparent device in some part of it's surface, not always where you thought it would...

select the surface and see in the GO tree several options for Z order.
i'm not sure you can plug a button to the on top/on bottom options, may be you have to wait for a new dp ?

about switching inserts off.
Yes may be you are right it is something that happens in the Big Mixer, i've heard about this before. But in an insert rack for ex, it seems to work fine .

About midi guitar controller : does it keeps stuff like slides (at least) or does it only plays midi notes "legato" ? i've been told that it didn't keep things like slides or pitch tune, but that was like 5 years ago... any experiences ? (i guess the thread is about things to plug on the guitar so w...

Well, it's better to quickly records a midi file. Timing may present problems if you have something that is midi clocked. It's not the timing of the arpeg that is in cause, but the gate received which seems filtered by the arpeg. some pulsar synths specially adress this issue (any synth that has an ...

Yes Paul, but please be patient i'm totally submerged with work during day and night. the "non time" option is better explained as "gate" ("reverb cuts when its decay goes under a certain treshold", whereas the other option, as you understood, could be "reverb cuts after x seconds"). spacef http://w...

I just love the arpeg series from creamware. What i like is to program a chord (possibly with some delay between chord note) and it plays alone. It's not very aleatory, but it tends to produce unexpected melodies, and you can add easily new feel by adding an unusual note to your chord. Of course, yo...

More seriously, how gated reverbs are made : i compared 2 of them that I own, namely the very old Boss RRV10, which has a really cool gated reverb, with guts and hard gate (the rest is crap compared to what you can have now). On the other hand, the STW 4080L, which is great except for gate (my opinio...

Isn't there another parameter to add and that causes reverb modulation ? like a fine phaser. It doesn't sound like a phaser on verb, but may create nice subtele evolution. I only saw this in EPS 16+ 44.1 reverbs (i guess it's on DP 4 too) and is something you could hear in a natural reverb (i've exp...

thanks micha !!! "ELSE can be NOP (=nothing to do). " that's what i understood reading you, must betested in DP, I should try, because it's the only difference with the DP-if that acts like "if true: then soundcard 1, if false then soundcardcard 2, but no possibilty to get no soundcard. but i'll rea...
