I see a lot of agreement about PCIe here, but I suspect that the ones at the top (so to speak) will interpret the market success of usb2 & firewire devices as a sign that it's a good marketable direction to head. So...we should list some of the reasons why we think we'd prefer PCIe (technical an...

l of this Das nonsense aside (and it's really redundant nonsense by now) I'm wondering if djmicron might be interested in releasing his devices now that he's armed with the above info (and hopefully a manual). I've built what I need in modular before and can do it again, but sometimes having a packe...

Next they'll be saying they want PCIe or firewire gear to run the OSX drivers with! (I'd prefer PCIe myself but I suspect firewire is too appealing) So a hearty congrats to InDSP and SonicCore and I do hope the news keeps the userbase here lifted in spirits for some time! Creamware and 3rd par...

I tend to agree with darkrezin, if I were to use a VST based dsp platform I'd probably be more inclined to use it during mixing than recording. Glad you're happy with your purchase, SSL does have the moxie to pay for decent algorithms & their creators that's for sure. :D

Huskervu is a nice little app, works great with my BCF too :D Although since I'm still on Logic PC I prefer using Midi CC/sysex etc because I can route controls directly to whatever I want in the environment. Also I've noticed that the BCF's MC implementation seems to come with a lot more cpu overhe...

Sp1 for 'proper' usb support (devices are recognized on their own without having to install a usb driver first to even get them to be recognized). Sp2 for some essential fixes that will solve some of the more severe worms that MS suffered from, these fixes also might come through windowsupdate on th...

Or you can even use the 'update driver' option. Just don't use the online search or local search BS and tell it where u have the driver.

There are likely to be some interesting developments around the time of Messe, if you have kept up & listened to other threads where this mudslinging thankfully hasn't spilled over. So one might wonder what that's all about... Also, please don't forget that you can step away from the monitor and...

I've been curious about the MX400 & recently announced MX500 myself. I had an older Alesis unit at one point but since it didn't offer any sound advantages over the Masterverb it's long since been sold, and I have meant for 6-7 years now to buy something again. The fact that I haven't tells you ...

Determining whether Noah is happy working as slave via bnc would be another troubleshooting step I'd take, using only the noah and the gear i wanted to slave it to. Most gear is not auto-terminating (in the video world I would occasionally see self terminating stuff but can't say I've played with en...

I think (from what I recall) Fairlight stuff uses AD chips and is compatible on some level with Scope hardware. One would assume so at least since there were pictures of fairlight consoles running Creamware devices in the past. :)

Posting more than teaser lists (as Red has already done) might not be feasable as beta testing is finding about finding bugs and it might be bad to commit to a specific list. Ie, there may be one or two occasions where something has a problem and it is decided decide to eliminate it, even if the pro...

Perhaps a better solution would be to establish some guidelines for those posting devices to the Devices section that address this issue. Imo, the practice of updating the same device thread is a good one, as is naming topics v0.1b or some such, especially from aspiring developers. Keeping up with t...
