Re: Eventide SPACE reverb
I will be putting a Lexicon MPX-1 reverb up for sale. True LexiChip (some algos are the same as PCM70) reverbs, plus a handful of other *simultaneous* effects such as modulation, delay, etc, and then a bunch of midi modulation, LFOs, and other patching allowed. PM me if anyone is interested. I'm onl...

True, the Elitebooks have 54 slots, but Expresscard/34 fits in a 54 slot.
A coworker got an hp elitebook, I'll find out about the bios next week.

Re: XITE-1 PC CONFIGURATION REFERENCE
Here's two laptops I'm looking at right now: HP Elitebook (8650w) Lenovo w520 Both go for ~$1500 USD, depending the features you want. Each can be had for as little as $1000 if you cut out 1080p display and put in an i5 or a dual core i7 (i7-2620). They are quite a bit lighter (50%) than the ADK/Cle...

Re: XITE-1 PC CONFIGURATION REFERENCE
Maybe try something like this: http://www.diefer.de/speedswitchxp/ It's a program that allows forcing the CPU to be full performance (no speedstep), etc. WinXP allows control over the CPU, but doesn't provide the program or control to actually do that. This program allows one to take full advantage ...

Re: Zipper Noise and Graphics
A trick many laptop performers use is to lift the ground to the computer. You can do that by clipping the ground off the power cable, or use one of those old 3-prong to 2-prong adapters. This helps remove the ground loop. Or, if you can use only ADAT out of the scope cards, as bear said, keep the au...

Re: Modular IV corruption
I'm not using the tape delay, but I am aware of those issues, and have added the patch that is available. I still need to find time to re-install MOD IV and get things stable again, just been busy here.

Re: Modular IV corruption
I never use Anti-Virus on my music machines, but it's a good thought.
The only thing I can think of is that the .dev was overwritten by accident, but that still doesn't explain the odd behavior.

Re: Nothing wrong with internal MIDI timing in scope.
P.S sonic core ought to make a MIDI clock VST and decoder on the scope side, things like sb404 are a million times better when they keep good time :) Have you tried to Mod IV "VST Clock" module and the VST counterpart? I haven't had the chance to experiment with it yet, but since you have...

_ let me add some frequency responses good vibes It looks like you used 64 bins in this FFT to show the analysis, so this is the same as what the filter is seeing? What does it look like with 1024 or 8096 bins? BTW - They do look like really clean transitions...this has to be the most surgical of (...

Modular IV corruption
I plan on re-installing Mod IV, but thought I'd share my experience lately anyway. Recently my Mod IV seems corrupted. It first started acting strange with presets, or the top menu bar wouldn't be seen. Now, it loads (even in an empty project, with an empty Mod IV) and my native CPU usage uses a ful...

Re: A16 mk ll
It all depends on the coding. Some of the best anti-aliasing I've seen was in the tassman modular, but if you looked at the output, it was limited to 16-17kHz. People tend to try & put a steep filter at 20Khz, but steep filters have lots of ripple in the stopband (or passband, but that wouldn't ...

Re: So i'm might start messing with the sts.
I haven't messed with it either yet, but supposedly it can load standard Akai sample banks. Those used to be the "standard" back in the day, so I'd search the web for those samples.

Re: A16 mk ll
The Nyquist rate, dictating that 2x the sample rate can contain all the information of 1x frequency bandwidth, is theoretical. Too many people quote that rate like it was realistic (44.1khz to cover 20khz of bandwidth). But no system can run perfectly in a theoretical state, there's noise, quantizat...

Re: SDK info on Forum/collected tutorials (Very Rough Releas
Thanks, I was confused because they aren't .pro files as the manual asks for. When I try to open them, I get invalid keys, etc. But they do open anyway, eventually. I'll try to mess with them and see if I can re-save them in 5.1, and then see what happens.

Re: SDK info on Forum/collected tutorials (Very Rough Releas
The SDK 5.1 doesn't have any examples, documentation, etc. Are there any good examples from a previous SDK, or that people use in general? (maybe synth, effects, insert, etc?) That'd be a big help, as the only docs I found were for 4.0 SDK, and that talks about examples and demos that weren't includ...

Re: 2TB Seagate Drives
A lot of Seagate drives can have a setting that allows for 1/2 storage space but almost double performance. That also makes it more reliable (in this mode tracks aren't "trimmed" as they call it, so density isn't pushed and each bit gets all the magnetic area it possibly can). I can also a...
