Re: New CPU and MOBO for SCOPE

Hi sounddesigner. Can you tell how noisy is the cpu fan or better or quiet it is? Say compare to the intel e8500 I have which I like very much for the low noise. I would appreciate your comment on this. Christian I'm not using stock Intel cpu fan, i bought a separate 3rd party fan "Thermaltake...

Re: Musik Messe 2009

still I'm curious when the first Messe Report concerning S|C will hit this Planet(Z)... The unit looks a lot better than I thought - After I had loaded 13 SC Plate-X the XITE was using 50% of the available power - impressive. There's nothing official regarding the release date of the XITE, but........

Re: New CPU and MOBO for SCOPE

Hi Jimk, I have Core i7 920 with SCOPE working fine. My mobo is Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P. My mobo only has 2 pci slots tho, for 3 pci you may wanna look into UD4 model. I only have one scope card in my i7 system ATM but will be testing it very soon with either XITE-1 or added SCOPE Professional and UAD...

Re: WTF!!!

OK, I am still waiting and can't wait for the new stuff and as far as more DSP goes, I have 21 DSPs now and don't max them out. Without new software emulations, the extra DSPs don't excite me. I can say that the UAD2 plugins are simply amazing and if this kind of quality becomes available for the S...

Re: Adern Announces Xor and Mojo, Two new plugins for the Scope

Please, get here to see Mojo review and listen to some demo songs, cheers: http://forums.planetz.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=27177 Nice and 'passionate' review. I share much of the same opinions. Mojo definitely is a unique and great sounding ITB amp. A 'must-have' for me. I'm not suppose to buy a...

Re: How you use Scope.

The right plugin effects help aswell. A few nice ones are Brainworx BX_Digital and BX_Control, Wolf's Kompressor, DAS-2A, Celmo's creative effects, etc. Check out demo's if you need Effects.

Re: Algorithmix & Sonic Core?

Hi, Algorithmix has announced the LP SPlitCompressor - a very high end mastering compressor - but there's a rumour that Algorithmix will release that product on the Scope platform - any concrete information about this and probably other products? Cheers I read that the Algorithmix compressor can be...

Re: upgrade, Intel or AMD?

All technical has been said. Why the hack should I search and pay for a rare 1600 DDR3 that fits my i7 which is overpriced as well, when the benchmarks showw that a 1066 DDR2 still does a good job at a much lower price. Probably i am avaricious I think we have different beliefs as to what's rare, a...

Re: upgrade, Intel or AMD?

Also DDR3 offers only the slightest performance increase when being paired with core2duo & core2quads as well, so purchasing it there might make sense if you think you're going to be building a new system right now, but I wouldn't look on it as a necessity. In ADK's benchmarks the difference be...

Re: upgrade, Intel or AMD?

Given the choice I'd go for Intel or Supermicro and skip the overclocking options from other makers anyday...(unless it's perhaps a dedicated gaming box in the corner of the studio?) Or of course go by the recommendations posted here. Others might be more adventurous, and I welcome them to have at ...

Re: Info about the release of SCOPE XITE-1 and SCOPE 5

The recent addition of the demo facility is a wise one - interesting timing as well - almost like they are expecting an influx of new users who dont know the scope sound..... :D Possibly true. It is better to start allowing demoing of all devices now then long after the release of the new Platform ...

Re: Adern Announces Xor and Mojo, Two new plugins for the Scope

Any guess at how long before Mojo supports 96khz? That is my preferred samplerate for projects so i'm curiouse. As Assaf already said, there are some limitations in the current Scope development tools....we could have chosen to make an ordinary sounding device with some good amount of typical digit...

Re: Adern Announces Xor and Mojo, Two new plugins for the Scope

Congratulations :) A guitar amp that works in 96Khz and has the Adern name on it sure does look interesting :) Unfortunately 96Khz is not supported with mojo (yet), but that doesn't stop it from sounding great :) and yes it was a typo... fixed. thanks :) Any guess at how long before Mojo supports 9...

grainmiller and phil may still see the light of day, who knows... with some extra dsp kick... I hope so, i was looking forward to grainmiller and phil aswell. In the meantime the audio-demo's of Xor and Mojo sound really nice. Looks like they'll be going on my list of plugins to buy after XITE's re...

Looks like the names are Mojo and Xor. Mojo must be the lush sounding amp mentioned many months ago that was said to be created by Alfonzo. http://www.adern.com/home/modules.php?n ... oad&cid=11

Re: Stop Scope from asking to save unchanged projects

Is there a way to stop the Scope software to not ask to save unchanged projects. That's just plain annoying. -> load project -> try to load different project => now why the hell is it asking if i want to save the changes? there were no changes made! Agreed. Maybe there's some technical reason, but ...

Re: how much cpu and ram do you really need

Whether a Quad is needed or not is depended on each musicians needs/wants. Some work at high samplerates and use power-hungry plugins (like myself) and don't like to work in a compromising manner (there will always be limits but preventing too many of them is the idea for some of us) so quad is best...

Re: XITE : your wishes

I do believe that $1200 (or even $800) is too expensive for plugins - IMO the best price point would be between $249 and $499 for truly high-end plugins - so the next questions are : * What is truly high-end? * Do we have any plugins in that category right now? * What should be the first plugin in ...

Re: XITE : your wishes

I think as long as their very high-quality and only available for SCOPE that's most important. To create a very high-quality plugin and only make it available for Scope is only possible for SC. If a 3rd party developer use 1+ year for developing a high-quality plugin, they need to sell 3000+ units ...

hi guys, let's be serious for few minutes ... if i quote all of your "high end " wishes in this thread ... unfortunately i don't have time to do it as there are so much ... we would have an "unbelievable" 1U rack ... i even think that it should be a 2 or 3 U rack ... ;-) but ove...
