Re: Outputs from balanced I/O very hot! Scope PCI
Maybe since you don't use an external desk, an Expression pedal with some SapceF CC2x2's, and CC2's can move faders or groups of faders in lots of ways which beats using a mouse. It also allows modifiers and lag/speed, start and target variations so each fader can start at a chosen level, and end a...

Re: Outputs from balanced I/O very hot! Scope PCI
I found a nice recording.pdf from back in 2002 with some nice routing examples in the Project Pane showing connections back and forth between Scope and native DAWs. While the native stuff has changed since then the under the hood Scope routings have withstood the test of time! I thought it might be ...

Scope Pre Sonic-Core PDF Documents
I found a whole bunch of Creamware Scope PDFs I uploaded to dropbox if any one would like to refer to them. While some of the info is surely dated, from 2002 or so (regarding the non Creamware native DAW products) the Scope platform material remains quite resilient and the documents are still releva...

krixrox This may not be applicable to you but maybe because its been a damn cold and dry winter and I know that Elgin has not escaped it in the least! I'm here down in E Street territory in South Jersey and its been a drag. Snaps, pops and crackles that all of sudden appeared out of nowhere. After t...

Re: Xite or UAD - seeking advice
Yea they thrash among the natives. Superfluous GUI veneers spreading their obese coded butts across all manner of hyper-threads and over-clocks, only to bleed them dry like the proverbial vampire as fast as they can spawn. Behold they become thin and scrawny and too light of weight, their brows hot ...

Re: Windows 8.1 64bit Scope 5.1 "Can't find DSP file..."
This may be a long shot but I seem to recall re-installing problematic programs on Win 8.1 64 with the install/setup program set to "run as administrator" which has solved weird issues when subsequently running the actual programs. I also use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall programs. Revo do...

Re: Electronic music pioneers
While reading through this excellent thread I was taken back in time to when I was a teen sticking thumbtacks on piano hammers and sponges between the strings, overloading tape heads to get them to oscillate and moving the volume controls to change the pitch. I had no idea that there was a world out...

Re: Acustia Nebula 3
It seems to me that the CUDA coding tools are out there for the taking but only the CAD and scientific communities have jumped aboard. I agree that this could be a great platform for native plugins. I could see a cross-compiler for Scope to CUDA and vice versa.

Re: Acustia Nebula 3
As far as I know, anything convolution seems to introduce a good amount of latency.. what sort of effect in Nebula are you looking to use? There are other convolution plugins like SIR 2 that can do convolution with no latency (aside from ASIO base latency). But SIR 2 is more for reverbs, though tec...

Re: Analog Output Noise
It's really weird because when I move it around the noise gets lower! I've got a GeForce 610 with 2GB on Win 7 so I don't really think it's an issue. The only time the noise goes away is when the STM 2448 is out of the pane or Scope 5.1 is closed. Again it's no big deal but I'm crazy obsessing over ...

Re: Analog Output Noise
Still trying for perfection here!!!!!! All the above is all good however.... I noticed something: If I move around the STM 2448 in the routing pane the noise changes. Granted I have to be pretty full up on the monitors to hear it but when I slide around the mixer the noise fluctuates around, down an...

Re: Uhe diva
i actually prefer http://www.lennardigital.com/sylenth1/ uses way less cpu than the diva and through scope sound great diva as soon as you start stacking the sounds the cpu goes through the roof making it a mono patch and unlike dsp if you over load you just remove poly but still plays with no glit...

Re: Midi- and Audiomux app connecting iPad to your mac
I noticed many musicians are using iPads. I just want to say that there is an alternative now. I just bought the HP Stream 7 for $79 + free shipping. It has the full Windows 8.1 (not Windows RT) so you can run any windows software on it. Basically I wanted it for portable recording since it has USB...

So nice to have the best of both worlds: Nope and Scope. When your PC says "Nope" , it's time for Scope . Ba-Da-Bing (Compressed) .

Re: Acustia Nebula 3
Reply from Acustia Support: "There is not possible with the current audio CORE. We are working in a new technology with less latency but there is not ETA." Does it mean the use of CUDA? I guess using it live via MIDI matters little when you can use a separate Nebula Machine to record and m...
