Re: anyone in shanghai!?
After reading your post I was googling around looking at beautiful Chinese instruments & I discovered that one of the old masters of making these, Master Xu is based in Shanghai and still makes stunning hand built instruments with his son. Their shop is in Shanghai but their website states that ...
Re: Cans
Drinks cans filled with sand will be a pain in the ass to set up and has the potential to get very very messy. Also, aluminum cans filled with sand will act like storage heaters - not really something you want down there on the MED!! :D If you're intent on experimenting with using some sand there's ...

Re: We have a big problem with the modular
Hi modularman, I'm not using modular very much at the moment, but I remember this from a year or two ago. The decimator effect in modular allows you to switch off the bit reduction section of the effect & just use the variable samplerate frequency section. I'd guess that the bit chop module insi...

Re: We have a big problem with the modular
You can already manually adjust the samplerate of signals in modular from 0 - 48,000Hz. Is that not good enough?

Re: firewire interface Presonus vs ...
What about an Apogee Duet? It's only 2ch, but it's a nice quality & very portable firewire option with great features for it's size (I/Os are via a breakout cable). Something like that would still be really nice to have when you buy an XITE & ditch the PCI rig.

Re: firewire interface Presonus vs ...
My thoughts - - I'd probably buy the expresscard upgrade for your multiface even although you think it's a bit expensive because once you have it, you have it & your MBP's connection options are expanded greatly. - For a little over 600euro you could get a really good mic pre that has built in A...

Re: Help!!! Complete Panic.
Hmmm. Funny you should mention that. It seems the person who built my PC didn't attach all the "stand offs" (I didn't realise they were called that). Seems like quite a few are missing, which could explain maybe why there is so much bend. Oh, that's a total nightmare. It's horrible trying...

Re: Help!!! Complete Panic.
Great news! 8) Computers can be a real pain the ass sometimes! :D Yes, it normally quite difficult to push/click RAM into place. Sometimes it seems to take a crazy amount of pressure & it's even worse if you're trying to fit it in a system where the mobo is attached to the case with shitty plast...

Re: Help!!! Complete Panic.
It's very unlikely that none of your RAM is working, so that should be easy to rule out. I'd suggest that if clearing the CMOS doesn't help & your GFX card is definitely seated properly, the issue will likely be one of 2 things. A faulty PSU or a dead GFX card. I've had a passive OEM Nvidea card...

Re: 3rd Party modules hosted on planetz are gone..
The attached zip contains the Megamulti OSC & ECC83SIMB1 modules. I won't distribute the oscilloSCOPE any more simply because it was not stable & causes a Scope crash a couple of times in ten. If someone who already has it wishes to share it with you, that's fine with me, but I take no respo...

Re: Modular IV on SC shop.
Hi Shroomz, Argh, I wasn't gonna reply any more to this topic but you've forced me :x  the MS EQ was a new product, it didn't have any relation to anything previous. Mod4 is not a new product, it's Mod3 with some extra modules. That is the difference for me. Whether its 3 new modules or 100, d...
