You can already manually adjust the samplerate of signals in modular from 0 - 48,000Hz. Is that not good enough?

What about an Apogee Duet? It's only 2ch, but it's a nice quality & very portable firewire option with great features for it's size (I/Os are via a breakout cable). Something like that would still be really nice to have when you buy an XITE & ditch the PCI rig.

It's very unlikely that none of your RAM is working, so that should be easy to rule out. I'd suggest that if clearing the CMOS doesn't help & your GFX card is definitely seated properly, the issue will likely be one of 2 things. A faulty PSU or a dead GFX card.
