That link started a lot of rubbish on my iPad, like request to install a VPN and starting the iTunes store :o
Not really convincing... rather Ring the Alarm :D

Re: Cool Gear PCI to PCI Expansion

I also went the Adat route with an Asus P4C800 (Intel 875 chipset) and it works flawless. 5 PCI slots, Sata, IDE, AGP graphics, adjustable VCore and thus can run a Mobile P4. avoiding excessive power consumption. It‘s the most „cool“ system I ever had, with a tiny fan driven by a 5V adjustable regul...

Re: DAW Win 10 64 new installation, GLITCHES!

Thanks Valis, great advice 8)

I‘m also very happy with Adat communication since a master clock was added. No more sync communication glitches.

Re: DSP hungry (mixer-)channel

Not really on topic, but just to mention:
The Dynamic Mixer is my favorite Scope mixer. Has all essentials and low DSP footprint.
I may use several, building busses in routing window, sometimes (very simple submixes) replaced by a Micro Mixer.

Re: With or Without Windows Defender?

Terminology mess... ;) UEFI is a BIOS replacement (the software controlling the machine‘s hardware). MBR and GPT are different partition schemes, the basic structure of the disk and relevant to boot. NTFS is a file system that‘s written to the partitioned disk, and not related to the partition/boot ...

Re: DSP hungry (mixer-)channel

You may try a Dynamic Mixer with that trio and use the direct outs to send to destination.
(in non Xite Scope the DSP load by single Channels was at least noticeably higher than all under 1 surface)
Channel got a lot of features: midi, invert and 2 inserts.

Re: WINDOWS 10 yeah, BUT... Which one? MODS and Scripts ISO

I got used to browse the internet via iPad only, atm on an Air One (small scratch in the upper left corner, $60). IOS 12 is the latest version for this device, does most sites but fails on super modern coding and media. (perceived 5%) It can locate download locations, but to receive I switch to anot...

Re: DSP hungry (mixer-)channel

It‘s probably due to the layer for external communication per device.
Each channel device needs it‘s own, while a mixer made of many channels only needs one.

Re: DANGEROUS VIRUS: "LOJAX", PLEASE READ AND TAKE CARE

Did you try to get into „recovery mode“ to stop the (obviously failed) update procedure ? Iirc it‘s F8 (or F6) pressed at the right moment after boot, but before Windows loads. You get at least access to the file system and (possibly) may be able to roll back the update. (I‘m no expert in this area ...

The „clip pushed, loop based concept, which is not appealing to me...“ might become useful, once you have more sections of your own compositions ready.
It allows to quickly built variations of the arrangement as backings to further improvisation or whatever ideas.

Re: Stripped-down Windows 11 version runs on as little as 2GB of RAM

Thanks Bud, that confirms my quick search for Intellifex Sounddiver. No big deal, though... at least I could start my own adaption (... one day) :D The reverb section of the Intellifex is rather close in character to the PT reverbs. The more sophisticated Intelliverb probably even closer, but these ...

The Mini M1 is just the entry model from 2020, 8GB, 245GB SSD. I use Apple‘s AU Lab as a plugin host for Zynaptiq (UnVeil, UnFilter, UnMix Drums, Morph, PitchMap), Polyverse (Manipulator, Supermodal), Valhalla (VintageVerb, Plate), Virtual CZ. Tried Logic Pro (no joy), Bitwig, best audio editing exp...

Re: Stripped-down Windows 11 version runs on as little as 2GB of RAM

I once had the EMU Proteus 2 (Orchestral, 19“ unit) and the same content in SF2 format. The latter loaded into STS was a total disappointment, it loaded just the samples and skipped all programming. Even the humble 4MB rack unit clearly outperformed it. Your E64 still makes sense 8) Sounddiver 2.x (...

Re: Stripped-down Windows 11 version runs on as little as 2GB of RAM

Tbh recently I was quite surprised how great some „vintage“ Akai sample CDs sounded. A lot of that stuff floats abandoned on the internet. I downloaded some ISO images out of curiosity and to try out the CD drive of my MPC4k... with the funny side effect that it triggered my interest in Scope’s STS ...

Re: Got a new midi controller keybord, period!

They may have added the (key) functions in a later revision, but probably you can update the firmware so an older version only lacks the labels...
A search with „revision update key function“ (or similar) may reveal details.

Re: Strange difference between Adat A and B (2nd gen)

Yes, PT‘s „Superclock“ (256 x sample Frequency) is a kind of nightmare ... and the only way to externally clock a Mix24 system. I‘ll probably exchange the > 20 years old connectors instead of getting other cables.
(but at least everything seems to work right now and I can use Scope again) :)

Re: Strange difference between Adat A and B (2nd gen)

I wonder why the OP´s issue happens when using a Mutec-MC7 masterclock though. It´s a precise device. Simply because OP is too stupid to setup a 5 items routing window properly :D  The Adat lines between Scope and PT now both work as expected and null as in the old days. On the MacMini it‘s d...
