Re: Brexit

Should have phrased it better - fully certifiable throwback hard right wing vs go along-with-the atrocities gimme a vote medium right-wing. Murdoch in the mix, splashing out.

Right now Australia is voting between 1: Full corporate gov, or 2: fascist lite.

I'll report back

Re: Lunchtime gig in Perth WA

And thankyou for the positive vibes, z mob - so much more than we got at the actual gig.

In Australia musicians are distrusted unless they're corporate or foreign - we have a long way to go

Re: Lunchtime gig in Perth WA

Thankyou gentlemen - fun combo indeed, solid people there. I'm playing with Dave again in a few weeks, always love it.

Gary - looking forward to that rocksteady - silly it may be, but it's my kind of silly :)

Lunchtime gig in Perth WA

Thought some Z mob may enjoy this - Dave Brewer on guitar, James Sandon tenor sax, Ric Eastman drums and myself on bass. Hot summer day in the city, stretchin' out :)

I feel like breaking up somebody's home

Re: Foot Falcon

That sound is just bass & tuba unison - no fancy footwork there. Foot is used sparingly in conjunction with bass guitar earlier

Foot Falcon

Been keeping myself amused at home making noise. This one is a stroll called Foot Falcon - a term you may hear local Nyoongars use when lacking mechanical transportation :) It sprung from my happy realisation one day that (7x7) + (3x5) = 64. Alright! Recorded in Sonar using an RME quadMic into my bl...

4 kicks

My mate Rob has devised a servo motor setup for drums . We plan to do some duos with this setup on 4 different kick drums - so i've made a kikme template to start experimenting and see how that might work. By accident went with a linear EADG tuning. Ha. This track is kikme with click, trying some st...

Re: Goodbye Thin White Duke. RIP David Bowie.

Mid 70's to early '80's (10yo - 16yo) my life was tracked by Bowie. I took every opportunity at school and home to play often obscure Bowie material instead of whatever classical stuff I was meant to be playing/practicing.

Mr Bowie, and I'm so glad your music was there. Thankyou :)
