I had also a problem with the ultragain and a standard Pulsar1. However, I found, the problem was not Pulsar related, since the Behringer could hardly feed my taperecorder either. I send the Behringer to repair - No problem found We checked it at the store - No problem saturating the pre. I took it ...

Funktastico
I use WinKey. If it uses system resources, it is less than 1% (I see no difference, when I go to system/performance). By the way, windows allready has shortcuts. One example try pressing "Flag" and "pause/break" at the same time in win98.

Hi all I was one of those unfortunate ones with huge noiseproblems with Pulsar. My setup was 533p3@400, AOpen ax63pro mainboard, standard realteck NIC, Pulsar1 and I used my trackball thru the USB port. Pulsar 3.0 software With analog input direct into a channel I had noticeable noise comming in. Th...

Hi all I just bought a new Seagate Baracuda IV 40GB. I will use it for Audio only - swapping drives, when I need to do else things (untill I got parts for 2 PCs). So this will be Pulsar1 and Logic gold running on a 98se based setup. But what clustersize to choose? I only record 1 or 2 tracks a time,...

This is how I believe (but do not know) tracks are recorded on the harddisk (in logic). I put a track length - say 5min I record 4 tracks simultaniously - each 3 min min 0-3 is for track 1 min 5-8 is for track 2 min 10-13 is for track 3 min 15-18 is for track 4 This leaves gaps at 3-5, 8-10, 13-15. ...

Considdering cool casses are most allways hotter than room temperature, Generating more heat from Pulsar will make the case hotter and eventually the CPU too. However, I would be more concerned about the soundcard, as that is more expensive to replace. I realy do considder putting heatsinks on my DS...

"Do CPU's get hotter when handling more load?"

They do. For this reason it is a good idea to note, if you are talking idle or longterm full load teperature, when you say: "My CPU gets xx hot."

"The fastest you can afford" - hmm. I would say, that the last 200-300MHz are far to expensive. But just my point of view.

Nice to get a screenshot here. When I looked at it from infinitevortex, everything got to small to see, so I had to save the image and open it from IrfanView. Anyway, I have never been with a computer with anything never than 98se. I suppose the picture is a XP-screenshot? What is KS? - it seems imp...

More DSP perr $ with the powerpulsar and better upgradeabillity if you want to end up with an extreme multiDSP system.

Pulsar2 gives you extra ins/outs, when you rach the same amount of DSPs.
