Virtualstudio, I know words don't ease a pain like this, but please know that friends feel with you. It's always too early for people like your father to leave, when there's still so much to do. I remember my father in law, who died the day after confirmation of his retirement salary. These are the ...

the problem with powersupplies is that they all look the same and many are certainly labeled wrong  like those 200 watt multimedia speakers. Best would be a try-before-you-buy, so a local dealer (as always) might be helpful. A PSU is a serious piece of equipment, so it can't be a bargain, obvio...

Bastian, in case you haven't found out in the meantime: It's the powersuply. I exchanged mine temporarily and analog background noises were reduced >10db. This wasn't even a quality PS so I guess a real good 450 Watt piece will be even better. The window moving and mouse/menu actions seem to cause h...

my guess, too. There are 2 pairs of unused solder pads for smd parts near the rear cable connector of the Pulsar One, so it's obviously more than just the cable.

you might include one of the 'gates' from effects menu and build your own perfect one. If you have the Modular (?) there are even more possibilities. They don't qualify as presets, but offer the chance of doing something unique. ...hey man, I want the snare as staffan on his latest... cheers...

about a year ago such NFR cards were frequently sold in Germany. Always with a remark: ...selling is explicitely authorized by Creamware... If your card has those numbers you just deleted  then it's properly registered at CW. They register each single board by hardware-serial-no and would have...

dunno if this works with yamaha but worth a try:
the Casio DH200 calibrates itself on powerup to current airpressure. If you suck air through the thing while switching it on, it gets fooled by the sub-pressure
and gets more sensitive.

hi Pieter, first, do what Paul suggested and erase your keys from the post. They are not for public view. I'm not shure if SFP runs in that 'classic emulation box' under OSX. Under native OSX it's expected not before mid of next year. You should be able to install a dual boot system OSX/OS9 with you...

Bastian, tnx for bringing this up again and mentioning the adat ins. Jeeez, I'm monitoring digital - which I completely forgot  and the input comes via adat from a digital mixer, also noisefree. When I include the analog IOs (Pulsar I), I get exactly the same result you describe. My old Pentiu...

yeah, Atomic, afterwards we always know better... but I've survived it and this will always remind me that at some points in life we'll simply have to take the risk  And in fact I was talking about making a living of the DSP programming stuff. I have an (obviously dead) TDAT16 PCI board, which was sold with Tripledat, laying around. If plugged in, the system does 2 short beeps and then hangs. Do the beeps tell by what kind of death it was passed away ? Can I use the Syncplate on the Pulsar One ? I'm a bit afraid from fiddeling with the bo...

for those who don't want to (or can) spend the amount for the pro Yamaha or Akai stuff the Casio DH100/200 might fill the gap at 50-100 bucks. A surprisingly well designed toy (no kidding) which does a great job in mapping air pressure to (mostly) aftertouch. When the 'main' controller is used with ...

for that routing flexibility you demand I'd connect an external Adat converter driving 4 separate headphone amps.
That way you can route to the Adat outs whatever you like, but I guess it be at least 300 € (based on Fostex VC8).
