About Scope upgrade

Guys, the economies of the world are VERY different... so please understand my request: A friend of mind from Mexico, with a Pulsar 2 version 5.0, wants to upgrade to be able to jump to 64 bits with Win 7. Two questions: which would be the cheapest upgrade? And then, can it be paid in 6 or 12 months...

Re: What happened with Sampletank guys?

I see.
Thanks.

I used to use a lot Hipersonic, a Steinberg rompler, Yes, it was hipersonic 2, pretty useful, people didn't like it much but for a composer it was a great tool to have at hand, perhaps doing what Sampletank does today for you.

Ok, there is one survivor still, that's nice :) Which version are you at, is that 3?

What happened with Sampletank guys?

Remember? We used to talk quite a lot about it years ago, but I haven’t heard anyone in here talking about it anymore… Are there some users of Sampletank still in this forum? It was an innovative and revolutionary product in those days. Today, with Kontakt and Steinberg Halion, it seems to have been...

Re: Piano: THIS IS IT!

Definetely! BFD3 is… well… “Superior”, it is true :D

Nevertheless, I find it over the top for my needs, cumbersome to program too, to a certain extent... I have never had it myself, but I saw it in use in studio sessions and the learning curve seems to be steep.

Re: Piano: THIS IS IT!

No doubt about it! But for the price and THE SOUND, to be honest, creativity is not far behind using XLN Addictive Drums 2! I guess it would be very difficult or even impossible to tell which is which, so good they both are, one bigger, the other smaller, but rather kind of at the same level of soun...

Re: Piano: THIS IS IT!

Hehehe, very nice, but you believe I am Jopo or that I have stolen Jope’s pullover. :D
I truly like my home I can tell… nice clock and a purple couch to have an enjoyable rest with a cup of tea warming my hands listening to my latest recording with the Pearl. Nice image! Thank you! :P

Re: Piano: THIS IS IT!

it's great you found the piano that's just right for your taste. I think with pianos there's an imprinting process that happens consciously/subconsciously, and a particular sound gets cooked into the brain. For me, I'm guessing it's the Kawai baby grand that I had at home. It's not particularly the...

Re: Piano: THIS IS IT!

If you want excellent drums at a law cost, there isn't anything better than XLN Addictive Drums 2: https://www.xlnaudio.com/addictivedrums I have been working with EZ Drummer forever, but this is going to be my next step up in drums efforts, they sound truly professional, they are as good as BDF to ...

Re: Piano: THIS IS IT!

I shy away from Kontakt because the quality just doesn't seem to be as good as in some of the other software I have. I think maybe Kontakt is designed to use less CPU power. For drums i never use Kontakt. I don't know if it actually sounds 'weaker' or whether it's some placebo, but I prefer to use ...

And Pearl, for what it gives you, it is not expensive either.

Re: Piano: THIS IS IT!

They make great sampled instruments. I’ve got a few. Congrats. Thanks Daw... I have a large number of arrangements to build with classical piano. Almost all of the songs will have a piano speaking music upfront, so it must sound great. The rest of the instruments will be mellow additions: pa...

Re: Piano: THIS IS IT!

Guys, I am thrilled, its dynamics are the real deal! It feels like a real great piano, but it is not in the concert hall, it is in your own room! Play it and find out for yourself, you will not believe me until you play it directly because it is unbelievable! It is extremely versatile too, I think t...

Piano: THIS IS IT!

I have never witnessed something so beautiful in terms of classic piano emulations... I am going this path right away. For me, due to its extremely artistic character this virtual piano does not even compares with Pianoteq, this is my humble opinion, don't get mad at me please, but I can't help, thi...

Re: Seaboard or Linnstrument?

Going on with the OT: Ken, I think you are a very suitable prospect to work as a film composer. To be a good musician or composer is not enough to work as a music movie maker, you need some fine understanding of this particular world, and I humbly think you do have this understanding. You would be g...
